So, I bought the Limited Edition of Halo 4, and received a lot of pre-order content from Gamestop, and downloaded them all onto my account with the assumption that, like it is stated in the terms of usage, EVERYONE on my console could use this content as well. Everyone meaning my little brother who got screwed because 343i Player Locked the Pre-order and LE armours.
Keep in mind, he’s really young, so customizing his Spartan is a lot of fun, and a big deal to him.
On launch day, he and I sat down to Co-Op Halo 4 together, first, I customized my Spartan than he went to do the same and he could not use any of the armour I had received from the codes I used. This includes the Recruit and Assault Rifle PRIME skin, the Hazop and Battle Rifle CAMO skin, the Scanner and Strider helmets, and multiple emblems.
It states clearly in the Usage Rights that everyone on the console it was Downloaded on could use this content, so my question is…WHY CANT ANYONE BUT ME USE THIS CONTENT ON THE CONSOLE IT WAS DOWNLOADED ON!!!
I want my brother to be able to access the content. I don’t even use any of it, If I knew this would be an issue, I would have let him redeem them instead.
I had a similar problem with my son,
I bought the LE for myself and the LE Xbox360 as a xmas present for him.
Since he does not know about his xmas present I decided to allow
him to use all the codes that came with the LE, thinking I would
be allowed to use them since we are using the same console at the
moment. Well he unlocked everything and I have nothing.
The only option I have is to wait until xmas day and get the
codes from his xbox edition.

Well the LE Console comes with a different set of codes, being that he is your son, I would let him have those codes. The LE console gives the much coveted FOTUS armour.

No problemo, and I just read that 343 is has found the issue and is making a solution for it. Hopefully by Christmas it’ll be fixed and you and your son can use the content, as well as my brother and I.
