I haven’t seen a single discussion about it yet and with all the talk about story, I say that a lot of speculation and theories can be put into that 10 second scene with the Halo ring and Cortana humming in the background.
This has to be setup for Halo 6. I’m positive about it. The direction of story that Halo 5 took is one thing, but can’t the ring be a game changer? If we are, in fact, going to back to where it all began and having a Halo game dedicated to a Halo itself, how do you think it will be handled in Halo 6 as well as with Cortana being the villain?
Wait what? I was hoping there was a legendary ending but now your saying it’s confirmed? I must see this for myself
Why is the halo ring a big deal? Wasn’t there still 6 of 7 floating around I mean they didn’t get destroyed did they?
Exuberant Witness said a single Guardian could regulate and police an entire system.
At the end of the game, I saw at least 20.
I think Cortana is gonna try to reach the rings to wipe out the galaxy and start anew with her Guardians, and Chief is gonna use the ring to best the Guardians.
The Infinity couldn’t even fight back against a single Guardian and it’s the largest ship in the UNSC fleet… So how will anyone combat the Guardians unless we draw Cortana’s Guardian fleet to the ring and activate Halo?
The humming reminds me of guilty spark a little bit, anybody else get that vibe, or is it just me?

I’m not sure the Halo rings could damage the Guardians. The Halo pulse kills certain element based organic life forms. The Guardians appear to be synthetic. Not sure they would be harmed at all

Well he IS a wildcard…after getting recovered over the Ark by that ship in Primordium he took control of it and went off somewhere…maybe it is him.
Cortana has gone insane. It is genius.
I couldn’t tell if the humming was Guilty Spark or Cortana.

It is obvious it was Cortana, the megalomaniacal evil genius Halo has always needed.
The Halos might be part of her plan to keep everyone in line. A small pulse could wipe out a solar system, and the Guardians could defend it easily.
And if she goes full Ultron on us, she can just scour the galaxy clean of all life.
Halo 6: The Fall of Cortana
Thats definitly Cortana humming “Olly Olly Oxen Free” at the end … That will not end well
Guilty Spark will not know this “code” … only Spartan II’s and of course Cortana.
Halsey I think knew their all clear sign, Cln. Mendez as well I think.
As I side note, in the animated version Mendez loss vastly different than I pictured him when reading. Idk why but always saw him as a cross between Reed richards and M. Bison. XD
