So technically speaking

If Bungie gave up all the halo franchise to 343 industries, and 343 is way too busy with halo 4,5…

Who is moderating the forums? It’s like the servers can get a thousand modders and not get banned???

There is a entire team of people for the forums.

The community guys don’t work on the games… I don’t even know why you thought they did…

343 Industries has (at least) 2 very distinct teams. The Waypoint team who handles the website and forums, and the development team who makes games.

There is a team of administrators who moderate this site, same as their always has been.

In addition to that, myself and the other Community Leaders have been going through Moderator “Training” over on the Gamma forums. By the time the site-wide update rolls out, we shall be acting as full-fledged moderators as well.

Exactly, if there all moderating the gamma forums and developing, who is patrolling the servers? Game Testers? I doubt that. We could have a group of hackers that wouldn’t get in trouble that the halo reach community will eventually start talking about it, and when 343 enforces of those people to get banned, the trouble is over.

Er…wut?

There are tons of employes… Some don’t develop the games but do other things. Stop worrying about things you don’t need to worry about.

You’re 12? I didn’t know!

Let me make it as simple as I can.

WHO IS PATROLING THE SERVERS.

…do you know what servers are? There are plenty of reinforcements in place to prevent people cheating/hacking/modding matchmaking. It’s not like 343i’s too “distracted” to monitor matchmaking.

> WHO IS PATROLING THE SERVERS.

The ban hammer.

> Exactly, if there all moderating the gamma forums and developing, who is patrolling the servers?

Games are hosted on the players’ own consoles. Matchmaking puts players together, but after that, they host. And to the best of my understanding, in-game mods fall under Microsoft’s purview, not 343’s.

Actually, let me make it as simple as I can.

THERE ARE NO SERVERS TO PATROL, BUT Microsoft IS PATROLLING OTHER STUFF.

There’s an automated system that detects these things. It’s known as the banhammer.

Op do you mean who is watching beta forms if they are watching gamma? They have some on both.

No one is hosting the “servers” because there are no servers. The only common servers that people connect to are to ones that allow them to be matched with other players. Once the match is made, a single player hosts the game for all players in that game. There are no server admins.
