So team ranking is frustrating...

When the split between CSR playlists ranked by self and playlists ranked by team outcome was detailed, I didn’t think much of it. Now that it’s in practice it’s really frustrating. I’ve been playing the Castle DLC playlist all day and like 60% of my games my team loses despite me. I can’t seem to make any progress. I’ll go up a couple ranks and then get paired with awful teammates and drop a couple.

I’ll have a couple games where my team wins and I go up to a 2 or 3. And then I’ll have a string where I do pretty well and my team is all awful(go -16,ignore the flag to pad their kd, etc.)/afk/quit halfway through and then I’ll drop a rank or two.

I should have foreseen this being a problem when I’ve been annoyed since the game came out at all of the games where I get matched up with horrible people and I’m the only person to go positive.

Anyone else frustrated by this?

Mic up. Make friends. Find other good players. Play as a team. Reap reward?

A majority of players I see run around Lone Wolfing it and accomplish nothing other than high K/D’s with bad W/L. If you want to win consistently, do what I just said above, if not, then you won’t get any ranking that you actually are proud of.

So we’re basically screwed if all of our Halo friends have left Halo 4 or if we just feel like relaxing with some slayer and don’t feel like playing every game screaming callouts at other people we don’t feel like talking to?

So then don’t worry about CSR so much…

I was hoping to do that challenge but I got to school full time and work. I fit in a few games here and there when I can. I don’t really ever have time to rally a bunch of teammates.

I was just wondering if it frustrates anyone else. Does everyone else on here play with a full team 24/7?

You don’t even need a full team. You need maybe one teammate … or challenge yourself by playing all solo up to level 50. I did that 3 times in Halo 3. W/L is also a better representation of skill, and rewards team work - I like it better.

It’s a better representation of how you function as a team. Not necessarily individual skill. I’ve had games where no matter how well I did and how well I tried to play as a team, my awful, matchmaking prescribed teammates managed to lose it for us (that’ll happen when you go negative 25 or spend the whole CTF game doing donuts in a mongoose).
