i dont understand why splitscreen is cancel, when it is implemented and working with glith trick.

If I had to guess, not working/stable enough for official release.
Exists in a format that kinda works okay enough people can use. Realistically I’d take them just making a broken version easier to access. Why not, eh?
if they just implemented the normal way of starting co-op splitscreen it would be almost perfect for everybody interested.
only real issues are tac map slowdown and some fps issues on original xbox one.
i think we can assume the save corruption is just due to the nature of the glitch and would possibly not happen to official co-op. even if that’s so they could fix that.
makes no sense to just abandon a feature like this. after all the promises.

Whether you can agree with these people or not, I think there is a valid point to be made about why 343 reneged on a promise they made after the release of Halo 5. If split screen is available, then they can’t sell as many consoles or individual copies of the Halo Infinite campaign (you know, the portion that costs $60).
And despite their claims on technological difficulty and pipeline problems, clearly we’ve seen that it can work.

Granted, it’s not perfect and requires some glitching, but it can work. And be made to work by people outside of 343. So it’s especially frustrating to see that they’re not willing to work on it.
It’s got to be pretty embarrassing for 343 that once again the players have found a way of doing something that 343 say they can’t do.

Because they don’t think getting it fully functioning will bring in any more sales. So they focus on battle passes and multiplayer in general because mtx is where the money is these days.
