So someone broke out of Prisoner?

Solitary Flythrough (Prisoner remake)

David Ellis says that someone broke out of this Forerunner structure.

Anyone thinking what I’m thinking?

It’s connected…

I highly doubt the Prisoner broke out from there. Considering his original prison was destroyed by a Halo test firing, this would have to be a facility to might have held something or someone else ripped their way out of that window.

As awesome as that would be, they say that Prisoner is set on a snowy world. Charum Hakkor wasn’t snowy, plus all Precursor technology keeping the Prisoner locked away shattered when Halo was test fired there.

Ah, I see. Thanks, I haven’t read Cryptum. If it’s not The Timeless One, I wonder who it could be then…

…another Forerunner prisoner. Who would they likely imprison?

Or… what if this was an earlier prison of The Timeless One? Just another theory. xP

The Timeless One was locked away on Charum Hakkor for several billion years. I doubt he even had an earlier prison. :L

Million, not billion

Bear stated at SDCC that the Forerunner-Precursor war would go back 3 or 4 billion years ago. Since the Precursors were the one who imprisoned the Timeless One, it’s evident that that’s how long he’s been there, not millions of years but billions.

> “We meet again, young one. I am the last of those who gave you breath and shape and form, millions of years ago. I am the last of those your kind rose up against and ruthlessly destroyed. I am the last Precursor. And our answer is at hand.

Straight out of Cryptum. Millions, not billions. And the Prisoner is not a Precursor prisoner, he is a Precursor. Chances are, he was locked up by ancient Forerunners.

Anyone else notice that he said someone broke OUT yet the metal bars and glass implies someone broke IN.

Ah, my mistake. Greg Bear stated at SDCC that Primordium will be going back billions of years, I completely forgot that quote.

None the less, I really like the look of the broken window.

Nice to see someone else noticed this.

While I don’t think its the Primordial, I do think it is set possibly in a Halo 4 setting. We have never seen this world and the local star is bizzare looking with pusating rings of energy (as well as blue, like the LP’s star).

Indeed, that’s a good point actually.

Oh ya. I didn’t even click on that. Though having someone or something escape a forerunner prison is a Sirius problem… Let’s hope they/it doesn’t come back during a match.

Thanks.

See the way I see it, all of Halo’s maps take place on a recognizable setting within the universe. Snowbound took place on the Grunt homeworld Balaho (spelling fail, I know) and I think Guardian takes place on Palamok, the Drone homeworld (but it may be the Ark).

So why is it this is just about the only map we don’t know the planetary location of? Especially since, as the guy in the video pointed out, it is a mysterious snow world that housed some sort of prisoner. They put in a lot of detail that is important to a lore junky like me, such as the shattered windows, the floating Forerunner structures, the pulsating blue star, the mysterious snow world itself. Why go through the effort of such detail if not to expand on it later?

We’ll see. I can’t wait for the Sunday Halo 4 panel.

I always believed Snowbound to be on one of Sanghelios’s moons.

Actually, the planet snowbound is set is was never identified, though its implied it was a Forerunner planet near Earth. And Guardian took place on the Ark.

Prisoner takes place on Installation 04

According to the fly over for the remake of the map, its not on Installation 04. Its on an unknown snow world.

Possibly used as a Forerunner prison.
