So there are some changes to the maps.
I don’t know what playlists this affects.
I tested all of these with standard slayer in custom games.
I have some words / a summary at the end of this post.
Empire
Shotgun is now where OS used to spawn.
OS is now at the back of tower.
Plasma pistol is where shotgun used to spawn.
BRs are gone.
Each base’s SMG is now a DMR.
The DMR in tower is now a grenade.
There are now boltshots on the platforms on the outside
Note: There are no BRs on the map that I can find…at all.
Eden, Fathom, Riptide, Plaza, Overgrowth, Truth, Regret and The Rig
All the same.
They haven’t been changed.
Torque
H2 BRs are now by the entrance to basement.
Rockets have been replaced with an energy sword (not a weapon pad)
There are now 2 sniper rifles. 1 on each base.
There are 2 SMGs, 1 by each sniper.
There are now DMRs where there used to be H2 BRs.
There is now a hole from top mid to bottom mid / basement.
Gravity Hammers have been removed. Completely.
Coliseum
Sniper is gone.
There are 2 binary rifles.
1 in blue cave.
1 in red cave…or tunnel.
There are now boltshots on where there used to be BRs.
SMGs are gone now under each base’s bridge.
There’s some extra cover on rocket spawn…which doesn’t fit in to well
There is now a suppressor where sniper used to spawn.
Summary!
I don’t see why some of these changes have happened…
I saw some complain on Empire.
But that was about the shotgun being in tower.
That was changed…but why the rest of the change.
This is the 3rd version of Empire we’ve had (beta, initial release, current)
Why are we removing battle rifles from the maps?
Torque only has H2 BRs.
Coliseum and Empire don’t have BRs anymore…
Coliseum has some strange changes…
Instead of 1 sniper…2 snipers.
And you can more easily camp rockets now…cause they added cover (which I saw no one ask for)

I don’t even see why some changes have been made.
People won’t pick up the boltshot.
Yet there are no BRs on Coliseum, or Empire.
Only 1 DMR.
Per team.
1 DMR and 4 people.
Considering there are already mini arguments in game for the DMR and BR…this isn’t helping.

So I help others on waypoint
I also really like the torque updates, the hammers were too OP specially with 2 of them on the map, the camo bottom mid gives a reason to go down there and the opening makes it so you have to be more careful while top mid. The Colosseum changes are weird, but I know they wanted to take fully auto weapons off some of the maps since some maps just had to many of them and the empire changes are great.
Keep in mind some of these changes are only affected within certain gametypes. The hammers are still on Torque for Assault and CTF and the sniper is still on Coliseum for Slayer.
I’m really not liking the sound of Empire, it was my favourite map and I didn’t think it needed any change… I really don’t know how rockets will work out I realise these drastic changes may only affect certain gametypes though.
Omg those map changes might really help ffa. Shotgun on.empire causes a tower camp fest that reduces the skill substantially. Torque sounds way better but not convinced by coliseum. Can see spawn killing becoming a real issue
