I mean, in Halo 3 he died in the explosion that resulted in the damage to the ark and the game’s main focus is the ark… that and he was also one of the most Iconic character from the Halo Series and I’d like to see him without a helmet in that Hrunting/Yggdrasil suit while smoking a cigar and wearing his NCO cap (there was concept art of it and Johnson’s face was copy-pasted onto it, it was an instant -Yoink!-) as a Super Unit and every time the super unit dies he goes out with a bang (see what I did there?) and damages all units in a large radius around him… because technically the Hrunting/Yggdrasil MK. I had a very devastating self-destruct system.
Aaaannnd though it’s not entirely relevant I feel like I should mention that technically Forge’s warthog was just a regular Gauss Hog, but now it’s a beast of a vehicle that very closely resembles a tank.

Forge isn’t back from the dead. He is just a DLC character for the Multiplayer.
Aside from the brief cameo of his Cryo Pod, Forge gets no air time in HW2. I don’t feel like any of the characters from Halo who weren’t in Wars 1 should be available as Leaders, but I’d buy a Johnson announcer pack.

agree if the announcer pack, but I don’t feel like we need to halo wars: the reunion. We also do not know what is in store for the missions. We really did not see forge die by what I remember from the first one.
I think Forge is the Ark’s new AI that or Johnson much like how 343 was Human he’s gone and not plus a whole lot of Sentinels behind him if they can release him from what ever Forerunner programing over him. Or both as two AIs talking OMG Sentinels teaming up with Spirit and just happen to go active and draw attention away from Spirit the Ghost of Forge.

His description in leader lore says back from the dead. Please don’t.

343 have confirmed that he is just for multiplayer only and has no story implications. He is still dead no matter what his description says, sorry to burst your bubble…shield.

Do you honestly think that I think he came back after being disintegrated in the Shield World after manual detonating a FTL drive? Plz don’t. Just don’t. I’m saying bring back Johnson as a multiplayer leader, since he died on the Ark and isn’t entirely irrelevant to the Halo Universe/Game.
I’m fully aware that he has no involvement in the story, so why are you saying something irrelevant to the prime point of the topic? Forge is legitimately back from the dead in a sequel game as a multiplayer leader with major differences than what he had in the original game as a leader. But that’s not entirely relevant right now because I’m suggesting that we should have Sergeant Major Avery Junior Johnson of the UNSC Marine Corps as a UNSC Leader with him being a Super Unit in a MK. I HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL suit. Please provide your thoughts on that or don’t provide your thoughts at all, because I don’t need to be corrected on something that is so excruciatingly obvious, the fact that you think I don’t know that he isn’t in the story is as cringeworthy as modern feminism.
Yeah while we are at it Miranda Keyes, Prophet of Truth, Prophet of Regret and Ripa Moramee (arbiter from Halo Wars 1).
I mean Ripa died in the same place as Forge pretty much and 30 or so minutes as well.

We have no need for Regret, Truth, or the Arbiter (Ripa) because they are covenant leaders and not Banished leaders.
Thusly I disagree with the sentiment of including the latter three.
As for Miranda Keyes. She was an unpopular character who was only significant because she was the daughter or Jacob Keyes and Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey. Her abilities to command her ship and fight the covenant were mediocre at best. She showed signs of cracking under pressure. Leaving behind her ship and hijacking a pelican in a futile attempt to rescue a single Sergeant named Johnson rather than entrusting the task to the Masterchief. She isn’t even worthy of the title of commander and put the burden of her death on Avery Johnson who blamed himself for her death afterwards because he felt he couldn’t protect her, just like he couldn’t protect her father when the flood overran their position and infected the Captain. Though these things aren’t his fault, he felt like he failed in his duty because of her. The only reason he was captured in the end was because the resistance at his tower was the strongest once the enemy realized what the UNSC and Seperatists were planning.
Thusly I disagree with the sentiment of including Miranda Keyes.
So I’m a little confused on where you see him coming back from the dead? He is not in the campaign, therefore not alive, and therefore not back from the dead. He is in multiplayer, but as a DLC character.

If it weren’t for Miranda Keyes everyone would be dead; UNSC, Covenant, Insurrection, Banshed all dead if she hadn’t acted fast to stop the firing of the Halo ring in Halo 2.
If Sgt Johnson has legitimacy to be a leader in multiplayer which is non- canon then the leaders that are mentioned earliar make sense. For covenant units they only need a reskin but the bases and the scarab can stay the same.
Heck Sgt Johnson in that suit you showed would make real good as a leader unit for Keyes.

John survived the a nuke going off in his hands without even so much as a scratch and his armor was still sealed and vacuum tight enough to survive in space until he was found by the search Pelican.
We saw how that happened. We never saw what happened to Forge.

That whole cutscene was designed that way solely for dramatic effect. It was to make her existence justified, when it’s really not.
