Exactly, the button on Bungie.net will no longer function for anyone who tries to complete a Vidmaster prior to March 31st.
As I said OP, best wait for an official statement from 343, they will be sure to let us know soon.

My main account, which had recon and a few thousand games of Halo 3, 2, and ODST, was hacked and then reset by microsoft, so I am trying to get Recon before it is unattainable

The person unlocked a whole bunch of Call of Duty Achievements, and Microsoft Gamer score reset the account

Reset the gamerscore?
My Gamerscore was reset, I didn’t loose my recon, unless you hadn’t actually unlocked it already?

I had it legitimately, but I started playing Halo 3 on this account when it happened, then I played Reach on this account, now I play everything on this account.

I would think it would be automatic (no press here).
that said it is a feature looking 3 game releases back so the feature may be moot to them.

Making the whole Vidmasters idea redundant and permutation for Halo 3 impossible to unlock?
There will most likely be a way to unlock it in the future.

I don’t see how he is wrong! Halo 4 is after halo and many people that missed out on H3 might go back and buy it and still have the options to unlock it. Seems to make sense to leave the option unlockable.

I would rather they focus on the new instead of an option to receive an armor permutation from 3 (almost 4) games ago.
I am getting it again because this is was my secondary account during the H3 era, but my main was hacked and is no longer good, so I figured I might as well get it again. I myself am not expecting much from the next halo because I am a bungie fan, and the button would be relatively easy to make.
