So, pre-order bonuses won't all be available?

I am just wondering because in the weekly bulletin, it was stated:

"Was the armor that was available in the PAX build the full set? If so, why is there no Mark V armor? -ArchedThunder

The PAX build contains the full set of armor in Halo 4. In the final game, there are a variety of methods for unlocking armor and armor skins - ranking up, earning commendations, progressing through Specializations and completing goals on Waypoint. Some of the skins, helmets, and the FOTUS armor are exclusive to various retail offers. Some of these items MAY become available to all players at a later date. We wanted to focus on the Spartan-IV armors for Infinity, maximizing the amount of variety across the armor designs. However, we did want to include a reward for completing the Campaign on Legendary, so we decided to use the Mark VI armor as that reward. While we’d love to include every historical variant of the Chief’s armor, it’s just not possible to fit more armor sets into the available memory."

If you read it, you can see " Some of the skins, helmets, and the FOTUS armor are exclusive to various retail offers. Some of these items MAY become available to all players at a later date."

Does this mean that not all pre-order bonuses will be released to the public? Or does this just mean that FOTUS (console edition) will not become available. I’m fine if it’s just FOTUS, but I would like to think the pre-order skins and emblems will be released later.

I got a strong feeling that it’s just the LE and Console Armors that won’t become available for purchase.

I would hope so

With that many different retailers having so many different armor skins and emblems, it would really bother me to miss out on so much content.

Especially given how so many of them are for non-US retailers.

Your average person isn’t going to order a copy of H4 that costs $40 more from New Zealand.

Exactly, not to mention that the New Zealand order has the most content. Last I’m not going to pre-order 6 or 7 copies to get a few skins.

Hopefully she is just referring to the LE and Console content.

The two Season Pass helmets, FOTUS, and Recruit armor sets will most likely never be available outside their bundle.

I hope they’ll all available for purchase later on, even the special edition armors, especially since for some ludicrous reason the Recruit helmet is replacing the ODST helmet. Digital content should NEVER be exclusive.

It doesn’t matter to me as much if they release the LE and Console exclusives. Some may say it’s exclusive, they spend money blah blah blah. That’s a whole different topic, that has been over talked and we just need an answer for.

Back to the point, I do think that all pre-order content (skins and emblems) should be made available to all. Whether it be through achievements or however they plan on giving it to us.

Why didn’t she mention Recruit armour? Maybe she forgot or maybe that will become available to people?

Also, all the pre-order bonuses are just skins and emblems. There is no pre-order armour outside the LE and LE console bundle (and season map pack pass).

No, its even worse than you thought. Some of the preorders will be exclusive, others won’t and they won’t tell us which ones.

I kind of don’t want them to be available later on …

Although with 17 different stores selling different armor stuff – I can totally understand
