So Now What?

So I finished gold packs a few weeks ago. And while I still enjoy playing, and play as much as I can (read: as much as the wife lets me), there is a certain nuance in the game now that I have no more special weapons, vehicles or armors to unlock.

Has anyone else experienced this? It makes me a little afraid that I’ve grown accustomed to the req system (which I have never been a fan of), but at the same time it was fun to unlock a new weapon or vehicle.

Its the case with most shooters these days.

Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield…we’re just accustomed to having rewards for playing now as a culture.

It sucks. I used to enjoy the reward of the kill…and now I want something in return.

Am I gasp a millennial?

Yes you’ve indeed become a slave to the system :stuck_out_tongue:

When i first played Halo 5 same thing happened to me, but you know what helped ?
I did just save up req points, and to be honest, after i saved up the first 100k i really didn’t care anymore about unlocking new stuff.
You just need to get used to not unlocking stuff again, and this way it was pretty easy for me.

But yeah, i also still remember when i spent all req points immediately to open the next pack and it was a chore for me to play H5 at that time, because i played it for the wrong reasons. I played it just to unlock not to have fun, which iam doing now instead.

That’s actually a great way of looking at it! I was grinding for so long to get everything unlocked. And now, I have nothing to unlock! It does feel pretty good when you look at it that way

Good advice!

Well I am glad I don’t have that need to be rewarded for gaming. Besides there is more to the game than just unlocking reqs. There is maxing out commendations, xp, trying to get to champion in csr, and getting all the achievements.

No problem !
I hope it helps

I just play the social playlists to have fun. I’m afraid to touch the ranked games even though I could care less about my rank.

more reqs to burn through access amount of req points…

I finished my reqs months ago, Probably 6 months ago. I still play nearly every day just because I can still get a higher rank, play with friends, or try to get closer and closer to the prestigious rank of 152
