So, now we run with left stick

Now that Sprint is a default abilitie. Do we have to press the left stick down to run such in other shooter games like COD or Battlefield? That button configuration is bad for the controller, dont you think so?

Then how would we crouch?

do people not realize that the D-pad has gone completely un-used in multiplayer? this new stuff could be used through the D-pad …

Sprint with left thumbstick, crouch with B, melee with right thumbstick.

I imagine it’d be the same as Reach

> Sprint with left thumbstick, crouch with B, melee with right thumbstick.

meh, i’d much prefer to assign AA’s to directions on the D-pad so i cans witch between them in game for different situations, rest of the controls can still be reach default.

> Sprint with left thumbstick, crouch with B, melee with right thumbstick

Then you controller will break in about 4-5 months.

no

to sprint in halo 4, hold down the right thumb stick, press up on the d-pad, tap the left bumper 3 times, hold A for no more than 5 seconds and no less than 3, squeeze both triggers, then release all buttons. to continue sprinting hold X and B.

We don’t know the control scheme just yet. Let’s wait until 343i lets us know what the controls are, shall we?

Better yet they could let us change the controls to what ever we like.

Agreed.

How would you jetpack…

with jet pack selected, hold down the left and right thumb sticks while rapidly pressing the right bumper. didn’t you know?

I’ll just wait till 343 gives the full details on how we’ll use sprint w/ AAs. My guess is the D-Pad is going to switch between them rather than use them all at once.

I really hope it’s not thumbsticks. Easiest way (besides playing fighting games) to ruin a stick since you have to press it down and all wear n tear eventually messes it up (its moves by itself, doesn’t respond, breaks etc).

to use AA you use left bumper like reach? the D-pad would just be used to switch between different AA’s …

You wont be able to switch armour abilities in game. That’s what load-outs are for.

Im a bumper jumper… I like the d-pad idea though… I hope we get to choose our set ups…

The second they make Sprint or Beatdown a thumbstick button is the second I quit playing. Nothing hurts more than constantly pressing that button, and nothing is more annoying that having to click the thumbstick to beatdown.
