Isn’t the plural of Covenant simply Covenant. Like how the plural of Fish is Fish. Why did Arbiter call them Covenants? Writing mistake or bad grammar?
Also 343i should really give the Covenant it’s own name as the post war Covenant is a different group from the Covenant empire. Why not call them Covenant Remnant, or Neo Covenant? Thats just a side note.
Anyway. Why did Arbiter say “CovenantS”?.. wait… unless he was referring to multiple Covenant groups and not just Jul’s? If that is the case, once again 343… Name each covenant splinter group to prevent confusion.

Jul’s faction is called Covenant Remnant. The old Covenant (Halo - Halo 3) was called the Covenant. There’s never been more than these covenant factions so there should not be confusion. Confusion is only needed when referring to the species with the Covenant. You’ve got the Unngoy, Sanghelli, Legkolo…

Well they call them Covenant in game instead of Covenant Remnant or “the Remnants” wich they should start doing

I would disagree in this case. You know how you listen to song lyrics then someone tells you it’s sounds like they’re saying this and now when you listen to the song, that’s all you can hear. Whatever it was that someone told you it sounded like. Not here. I was anticipating to hear “the covenants find the stronghold” and I heard clearly “the Covenant’s final stronghold”. It’s understandable though that they sound familiar

The plural of “fish” is “fish” when you’re talking about more than one fish of the same species. “there are a lot of fish in this basket of blue gill.”
But when you’re talking about multiple species of fish, it’s “fishes”. “We have blue gill, carp, large-mouth bass, and trout, in this basket of fishes.”
