I would assume some sort of legal hurdles. Seems odd to exclude Europe though.

Very odd… I mean, it’s a whole continent!
America is well known for liking us yuropoors.
It’s possibly because certain game retailers also gave these away as a pre-order bonus, their exclusivity may not have ended yet.

So is Microsoft, sadly…

In all Europe? Very very unlikely…

Lately I’m very happy to see America having problems with economy while Europe improves.

Game.co.uk was one of the retailers I referred to, if you check here you can see that pretty much anyone in Europe could have gotten early access to the specializations with a standard edition pre-order if they wanted them so badly.
On top of that, I seriously doubt GAME was the only retailer with these pre-order codes in Europe.
Just wait by the 30th to say that im in canada and didnt have it yet except if u have a proof that they wont send it in europe and that would be awkward …

Thank you for this comment because I think this is where people need to really lay the blame.
Microsoft has always had a very “America First” attitude across most of their products so I can’t fathom why anyone is surprised at issues with this specialization codes issue.
I mean, think about this: Every time there’s a contest, it’s almost always North America only. Hell, sometimes it’s even UNITED STATES only, even leaving out our NAFTA neighbors to the north and south! Then there’s the country by country, region by region, restrictions on downloadable content. And that’s just the Xbox division.
Windows Marketplace for Windows Phone and Windows RT in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East are years behind the North American version of the Windows Marketplace. It took Microsoft almost a full year to include better language support for Windows Phone 7.5.
They only comply with legal restrictions on Windows because they’re forced to while multilanguage support in Office is lackluster at best. Microsoft is a global company who really thinks locally rather than globally (and, frankly, from an IT viewpoint, that’s a big part of their image problem because they are diametrically opposed to Apple, who gets a lot of backlash in the US for being “too global”, but is a revered global brand).
Sorry, this got way off topic, real fast… I’ve professionally supported MS Products for a decade and a half and the “America” bias has always gnawed at me. The rest of the world really didn’t have to deal with it much until the 360, Zune, and now Windows Marketplace.
I am so annoyed by being excluded from all the Double XP`s, iPhone Apps and now this; that I am very unlikely to ever again buy a Microsoft product. If Halo 5 comes out on the next gen Xbox, I wont get it. I will just watch the story on YouTube and be sad or something. But being excluded all the time from everything has left me in such a bad mood that they aint getting any more of my money.
Where do u get this info?

Exactly. It’s just ridiculously unfair!

The e-mail that stated about the promotion for those that played before Nov 20.

Then 343 can go and **** them selfs. The reason I got the standard edition was because I thought I would get it anyways.

Apparently everyone will have access to them in a far away future…
No answer or explication from 343i…
Yeah, we yuropoors don’t exist for Microsoft/343…
