So no matchmaking/lobby for Co-Op Campaign?

From the few videos I have seen that detail how the Co-Op campaign play works in Halo CEA, none of them mention any sort of matchmaking or search function. They all mention the game will show you friends who are playing and then you can invite them to play with you… but no matchmaking.

Didn’t we learn from ODST that not putting any sort of lobby/matchmaking system into the game was a total failure? Someone please tell me I’m wrong and show that there is a built in search function for Co-Op campaign. Please.

Hmm. I’m not actually sure.

I don’t think it’d be too hard to implement since the Reach multiplayer matchmaking menu is already on the disc. They could just make a new playlist and have it load the Anniversary levels.

Actually, upon thinking about it… It might be impossible. If they remade the multiplayer menu it would be possible if they designed it to, but if they’ve just cut and pasted Reach’s menu it wouldn’t work. (since the menus in Halo games are basically ‘maps’)

They already have co-op campaign in Reach matchmaking. Why they would leave this out of CEA is beyond me.

I really hope I’m wrong, but so far I haven’t seen a single video that talks about anything other than “invite your online friends” to play with you.
