How many think they will keep the game and wait it out, or are tired of waiting and are going to trade it in ? Current GameStop value is 20 bucks (cash) and lowering…thoughts ? yes for keep, no for trade.
It’s a tough call. Trade it and you can almost afford Halo CE for PC but if the TU turns things around then you miss out (but I don’t think it will). Don’t trade it and you lose nothing but gain nothing either, I am going to keep Halo 4 just to see what happens in the TU but I will not be getting Halo 5.
What’s the deal with the codes anyhow? Are they just going to be inaccessible forever if you don’t get a code or buy maps to unlock them?

I don’t know. When 343 took out evade and doubles in Firefight and just condensed it into Arcade, I wasn’t that happy with their choices in how they manage match settings in Reach. They keep changing up everything in Halo 4 and that seems to anger quite a bit of players. Forge doesn’t have a Forge World, so I can’t really escape to that. Spartan Ops is a gold membership only and it’s full of reprobates and dislikable story line characters. Only the CGI cutscene is of any worth other than the XP farm it really represents by Wednesday.
Maps are circular and vehicles are hampered in them, let alone no notable design changes save for the Mantis. Campaign was okay but I find myself not wanting to play it anymore after my initial run through. So I would say trade it. I’m not because I simply play this game on Mondays and leave it at that. I guess I’m hoping that better things are coming in 2013, but I could be fooling myself by my own nostalgia when it comes to Halo.
Anyone who says play for fun is right but really I found in the back of my head I knew I had to do this all over again to gain that XP when they finally unlocked that next specialization. So I’m playing for free with no gain that is part of the game that 343 placed as an incentive to play Halo 4, I could have been accruing XP with my valuable time.
I got my codes, but sitting at 70 taught me how much I really don’t like the choices being made for this game. So good luck OP with your decision.

How bout you check the sticky on how to get a code?
Play for fun instead of an artificial number that doesn’t mean anything.
Try calling customer support. Even if they direct you to the forums, I find it odd that I got the code like during or a couple seconds after the call. How I know? Well I was online during my call. The message was never there before the call. They said that they couldn’t do anything about it, but I feel like Xbox support actually helped me…

I dont have a code, but i also dont really want any of the Specs either…
Plus the two (or at least 1) TUs that are coming down the pipe…

Nahh, you just have to have patience, they don’t have to give you early access to the content, they choose to, they will be unlocked later on anyway.

Most of us have been patient for two weeks now. It’s 343i’s fault for created a flawed ranking system. I’m just playing other games till i get my code, but at this rate i may never be back, and i know there are a lot of other people feeling the same as me

While I do want ranks I agree you don’t need ranks to have fun. I do however need a good balanced game with good maps, no stupid random ordinance drops and no instant respawn. I got bored of Halo 4 after only playing for a couple days and this had nothing to do with ranks. The multiplayer just sucks and is extremely boring imo.
Is the only reason you would trade the game in because of the specializations? If that’s the case, hold on to it. The codes are not gone forever. 343 is still going to implement their original plan of unlocking all specializations for everyone once a certain community milestone has been reached (i.e., certain number of hours played total, number of games played, number of kills, etc.).
Since specializations were announced, it was known that standard edition buyers would only start with 2 specializations and would have them unlocked at a later date while limited edition would start with all them. This wasn’t some big conspiracy, it was all out there if a little research was done. This whole code thing was Microsoft’s idea at launch, to try to motivate more people into buying the game early.
The other 6 specializations aren’t gone forever, you will get them, just at a later time. Can’t wait that long? Plenty of them are for sale on ebay.
You like it, keep it. You don’t like it and it repulses you to play it, either wait for the TU or trade it in. I’m keeping my game forever. I traded a Halo game in before and I regretted it deeply.

I heard a rumor, that the everybody release isn’t until late February…if that’s the case, that’s a lot of wasted xp. Most wouldn’t want that. And I don’t think people are going to wait that long to play.
Find it rather funny how some have this hate on 343… About codes… Read the pinned thread clearly says xbox sent the codes out… Get onto them… Also if ur gonna complain about the codes… Trade it in… One less complainer for us to deal with cause u cant read.
To begin with. I didn’t complain, I asked for opinions. second, the pinned thread has not been updated by admin or mod in days. They have not officially said they are done or not. And if they are done, then how come so many who fit the requirements ( which were officially announced ) did not get them ?
