So, my friends, I have bad news...

Just when we thought Halo would finally rise to the top again…

Just when we thought Call of Duty was finally done for and gone for good…

It appears that in the most recent of pre-order charts, Black Ops II is now leading by a staggering 56,707 gamer pre-orders.

What happened and how can we rectify this? Is this due to the community? Due to 343?

Seriously, what happened to cause this leap in pre-order’s of which we previously thought was finally not going to happen?

And…this is bad news, why? Who cares is CoD has more pre orders? Really, now.

People like games that are Super Easy
And Halo is just not that Easy

> And…this is bad news, why? Who cares is CoD has more pre orders? Really, now.

Because we all got hyped when the thread showing Halo with more Pre-orders was revealed. That and I am one of the few that really wishes Call of Duty would just finally die off from it’s stagnant formula.

It doesn’t matter.

Edit* And I wasn’t hyped when Halo 4’s pre-orders were higher either lol, couldn’t care less.

> It doesn’t matter.

Matter of opinion rather than fact, I still remember how vehemently this community hated on Call of Duty when it was even mentioned.

What happened? O_e

I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again:

I don’t care! >:(

Honestly, who cares? It is not going to devalue Halo 4 or anything.

I fail to see how this will impact my Halo experience in any way…

Besides: sales don’t mean anything. McDonalds sells most hamburgers each day…doesn’t mean those burgers are also the best you can get on the market.

High/Low sales figures have never effected my view on a game. I’m either excited about a game or I’m not interested about it. No number on a piece of paper will change that lol

Halo 4 could have 6 pre-orders right now and I’d still be loosing my midn with hype like I am now haha.

> Honestly, who cares? It is not going to devalue Halo 4 or anything.

True, that it’s not, but in the world of game designers such as 343; Pre-orders and game sales are a big thing, it’s their business, and their business was leading by a staggering amount not two weeks ago.

I only bring this up to get the community to open up and communicate to ask and debate as to what happened or caused this to happen.

it’s a conversation starter.

I think a majority of the replies here pretty much sums my feelings up. I don’t give a flying fish if CoD outsells, or has more pre orders. I’m still excited, and I’m still getting Halo 4 regardless.

Not saying it will impact my experience either, I’m just bringing it to light for the community to discuss and debate amongst ourselves so that we may possibly give some ideas to 343 or just debate about features and ideas.

wasnt really for the topic at hand, just mostly to make someone go

“I think personally that it was such and such, due to these facts and this reasoning”

you know, a conversation starter rather than all the topics about the same thing ‘controller schemes’ when really we already have 30+

yeah its too bad but I still really feel like this new COD BLOPS looks like a turd of a game…

I assumed people would eat up this second helping but hopefully when they see how bad it tastes they’ll quit their game and come play some 'lo.

word of mouth and gameplay might help show some people the error of their COD ways once the buy the game and start realizing they wasted their money for more of the same only with more robots and dumb fake guns that are neither real nor good sci-fi…

In an unexpected twist I’ll use one of Waypoint’s favourite phrases! Take your nostalgia goggles off.

You do realize that COD is multiplatform right?

Why do you even care, how will it even affect your enjoyment of Halo 4?

Nice! I’ll have to remember that one.

It’s bad news how? Keep in mind that Call of Duty is multi-platform, while Halo is typically an Xbox only release.

50,000 something preorders for Black Ops 2 is for both PS3 and the Xbox, whereas 40,000 preorders (roughly) is for Halo 4 on the Xbox alone.

Besides, different people have different tastes in games, and just because Black Ops 2 is selling well doesn’t mean that Halo 4 isn’t.

Try being a little less close-minded about the gaming industry everyone.

Again, I defer to my comments in response to others above.

It won’t affect my experience of Halo.

it won’t affect my enjoyment either.

this is more a conversation starter for a debate or just for communications sake to break up the usual 30+ threads of the same thing…again…
