So, my disc is jacked up

During a game my system was jostled and left a large ring around the disc. Played fine (mostly) in the morning, but I could hear some things being left out audibly and felt a few skips here and there on the screen. So I took it to be buffered out by a specialized machine.

Now, my system is not willing to recognize the disc at all. I’ve tried it several times, wiped the disc down with a clean eye glass cleaning cloth, and tried other discs in the same system. They work fine, Halo does not.

So, here’s my conundrum: Does anyone know who exactly I need to speak to in order to resolve this situation as best as possible? I’ve already sent an email to the store that I purchased the game from. But as far as the makers and others, I have no CLUE who to speak to.

Edit: I should clarify that it’s a LE disc too. Probably doesn’t matter that much but still.

Bump

If the xbox isn’t even reading the disc as Halo, then I’m 99% sure there’s nothing you can do. :\ The disc is likely broken beyond repair and I doubt any store will take it…

Assuming the xbox ever does actually READ the disc, but say, fails to load certain content such as specific maps or campaign missions, what you can do is find a friend who has the game and install the disc to your hard drive. From there as long as the disc is readable it will play, but like I said, assuming it can’t be read I don’t think there’s anything you can do. Sorry :frowning:

Go to store, get new disc. Solution found!
