So much for join in progress...

Playing matchmaking today because of the join in progress if I’m getting my butt kicked or a bad map gets voted for (complex) I quit out and I know quitters are quickly replaced by newcommers. But that changed today. I did manage to play spartan ops however but as the mission was loading I recieved a message in game saying player has quit too many games recently and has been banned from matchmaking for 60 minutes.

60 minutes?! Holy -Yoink-, I and others thought the 10 minute ban was annoying in reach but a whole hour? And the games I quit out of got filled up by other people most likely, this is just ANOTHER stupid move by 343.

‘It’s okay to quit a match because someone will take your place, but we will ban you regardless.’

Read in a post yesterday the wait times for matchmaking and they were spot on when they said halo 4 matches take FOREVER to set up. They were fast in reach compared to this - waiting for 2-3 minutes for a game. Adding up the numbers in the playlists there must have been around 85000 people playing halo 4 at around 2-3pm gmt. I’ve got to check the matchmaking numbers for reach and halo 3 later. Last time I checked halo 3 there were 5000 people online, and 75000 in reach. I say we merge objective playlists together into one (team objective) and introduce some new playlists, like GRIFBALL!!!

I saw a video of grifball last night and it looked like a ton of fun, but you know 343 probably didn’t want it in matchmaking because it would have made completing sword/hammer/slayer commendations ridiculously easy.

I didn’t know they had any kind of penalty for quitting. I remember that Reach gave you a warning (i.e. quit probation) before actually banning you for the 10 minute period. Did you see any similar warning in Halo 4?

60 Minutes? That’s how long it would take for me to drive over and trade this pile of trash in at Gamestop and find myself a new replacement if I ever saw that cross my menu.

As far as I know, there is no warning.

Nope, no warning, just a 60 minute ban from war games. Spartan ops worked although I wasn’t playing a public match, did co-op with a live party.

I’ll think about that next time I quit. Was spawn camped in oddball under extreme lag… Now that was harsh. I couldn’t bear it.

lulz … what. 60 mins?!

I’ve completed like 200 MM games and quit something like 70.

No ban yet.

Now look at those numbers again. 200 games completed (if that) and 70 incomplete.

lulz, the quit hammer don’t even work properly in this game.

It affects all Matchmaking, including Spartan Ops Matchmaking, if I recall correctly.
