So much customization in this game...

There is so much customization in this game, it’s crazy. My head hurts. This is overwhelming for Halo players like I who are so used to simple Halo.

343: “We introduce a bigger armory for you all. This armory has more armor pieces and sets, armor skins, and more colours for your Spartans’ visors and armor.”

Me: “Okay, that’s cool.”

343: “But wait, we are also introducing loadouts! You get to make 5 custom loadouts, giving you fans the opportunity to choose your primary and secondary weapons, grenades, armor abilities, and the new Tactical Packages and Support Upgrades! We also introduce weapon skins to Halo!”

Me: “Oh boy.”

How do you guys feel? Remember the simple times in the early days of Halo where everybody had the same armor and weapons? I simply can not stick with or find something I like in Halo 4. I have to say the customization makes Halo a lot more fun, but at the same time also takes so much away from the classic experience.

the armour is cool , a nice addition to the game that doesn’t ruin anything. Customising your spartan is awesome

i’d rather just have 1 loadout.

Most of the shoulders i dont like they are very bulky

Yes it is all awesome, I’m just saying that all the customization options can be a bit overwhelming for players like me.

I like the customization, I just think they put to much time and effort into it, instead of the game mechanics and game play.

> i’d rather just have 1 loadout.

Same here. The different loadouts make the game too confusing, hectic and chaotic IMO. 1 loadout would also make a lot of sense as War Games is considered canon.

I love games that you get to customize armor, loadout, etc. Especially this game. This is by far the only reason i still play this game.

Yes we have a lot of armor but it is very bland and they nearly look the same. Hell some armors even look out of place.

I agree, I loved and yet miss that simplicity of Halo CE multiplayer and other “old” games. My main problem with having so many option is over-thinking which one to chose, so stupid.

Having all of us the same looking/start weapon did bring some “unity” feeling to me, I miss that.

I wish they could have at least organized it better. I don’t want to scroll through 60 helmets and all of their camos just to find the one helmet I want. They should have put the camos as a second option, like the helmet attachments were in Reach, then sorted the list in a simple way (AHEM, how about ALPHABETICALLY!)

There is just no sense to the armoury selection, it’s all over the place.

Yeah, I tend to overthink about which one to choose, too. In fact, a huge portion of my playing time is probably taken up by time thinking about what to choose.

Most of the armours are -Yoink-. Spartans now look like transformers with silly overcomplicated designs. 343i should of looked at Bungies concept art for inspiration.

i feel they went overboard with it in halo 4 i did however like it in halo 3. there is no armor that feels right.

Exactly. That is my main problem with Halo 4. No matter what you choose, nothing feels “right.” I feel so weird playing the game because of this.

I spend more time trying to find what suits me, but it never works out. And it just ends up in me killing a few hours.

IMO, i think that would make the game “dull”. I like it when you have custom armors, yet, i have two sets, and i change them for certain reasons. lol.

I know.

The simplicity did bring “peace” to the game, you respawn, and you go fight, not much to think but if taking the Warhog at most.

Of course I love the load outs, it bring strategy(this one for long rage maps, this one for short…etc) but it some times, like you say, can be a chaos, not knowing which one to pick up and in fact, in the glory of gaming stupidity, start playing bad because of it.

But yea, 50% of the time playing 50% of the time thinking what to do with the load outs.

EDIT:

About the armors,

Indeed it feel like they just add all the concept art and forget about it, but I think is easy to find something that feels right. What it may make thing feel “not right” is how vastly different we look compering to the rest of the players when we all suppose to be Spartan IVs. But after all its the multiplayer so, not a bid deal on my eyes.

I some times find some armors…funny :stuck_out_tongue:

The armor is cool and I think having the 5 load outs gives an awesome, new, customizable experience.
