We all know that a lot of people slam 343i and say that they suck and all. These people also say that Reach sucks. They say that Halo 4 won’t be good because it’s not made by Bungie.
However, Bungie took out dual wielding, added armor abilities, took out the Battle Rifle, “ruined” the ranking system. People complain about everything. People are blaming 343i FOR THIS. 343i is DIFFERENT, they’re not Bungie. They are taking out armor lock, bringing back the BR, taking their time and are finally bringing back Master Chief. Is this not what people want? Yet they still hate 343i for no reason. People like what 343i is doing but they say that 343i sucks. People disliked what Bungie did in Reach but they worship Bungie anyway.
I don’t understand.
Halo 4 will be a good game. 343i is adding their personal touch to it. How bored would you be if you were listening to the same music (don’t get me wrong I love Marty, but he was starting to run out of ideas for Halo), fighting the same Covenant, and just repeating everything you did in past Halo games? Change is good, we NEED change. I don’t understand people who go,“Halo is different each game. Unlike CoD.” but they don’t want Halo 4 to be of change.
Anyways, I hope I got everything out of my brain/mouth how I wanted it. Halo 4 will be a good game, trust 343 Industries.
I agree. Wish more people did.
> They say that Halo 4 won’t be good because it’s not made by Bungie.
Who is they? I’ve never seen anyone say this.
> However, Bungie took out dual wielding, added armor abilities, took out the Battle Rifle, “ruined” the ranking system.
Armor abilities had potential, but Bungie implemented them incorrectly, same with Arena. Dual Wielding was useless.
> People complain about everything. People are blaming 343i FOR THIS. 343i is DIFFERENT, they’re not Bungie.
What?
> Yet they still hate 343i for no reason.
Maybe they don’t like the way 343 is taking the franchise, that’s a valid reason.
> (don’t get me wrong I love Marty, but he was starting to run out of ideas for Halo)
Did you even listen to the ODST or Reach soundtracks?
> fighting the same Covenant, and just repeating everything you did in past Halo games? Change is good, we NEED change. I don’t understand people who go,“Halo is different each game. Unlike CoD.” but they don’t want Halo 4 to be of change.
There is a difference between GOOD change and BAD change that goes against anything Halo.
I would be very disappointed if Halo 4 was just set on another similar Halo ring and had the Covenant as the main enemy along with Marty’s music. It wouldn’t be new or “fresh” it’d just be a repeat of a Halo game. If they did that, in my opinion it’d just be a dragged out game. I probably wouldn’t like it.
343 aren’t learning from Bungies mistakes.
I can’t even begin to ponder the though process the folks your describing use without flushing my IQ down the toilet.
Wtf, I don’t even

Precisely. Gaming companies make mistakes, and then they fix them in the next game, or get rid of them.
Saddens me that 343 didn’t learn that loadouts were a mistake.
> 343 aren’t learning from Bungies mistakes.
So bringing back the BR, scrapping the Reach arena settings AND AL, equalizing AAs, and having purpose built maps isn’t learning from Bungie’s mistakes?

And you know this how? You know what, spare me your response I’ll go look at one of the bandwagoning hate threads instead, I’m sure it’ll be the same thing anyway.

-“They” are the people who think that Halo 4 will suck because it’s not by Bungie.
-A lot of people didn’t like Reach, for one reason because of the armor abilities. Armor abilities were by Bungie. The people think future games will be poor, yet 343i hasn’t even released a single Halo game yet. People aren’t giving them a chance.
-343i are being blamed for what Bungie did wrong. 343i will do things a lot different than Bungie.
-Okay. But you’re missing the point. I didn’t write my thread too well I’ll admit, but what I’m trying to say here is that people should give Halo 4 and 343i a chance.
-I loved the ODST and Reach soundtracks. But Reach sounded a bit repetitive and I don’t think Marty would be a suitable composer for Halo 4. They’re going in a new direction so I think that they should have a new composer as well. I couldn’t imagine Marty’s music going along with the direction 343i is taking.
-Some people, SOME (not everyone) want Halo to stay the same as it is and not change at all. I don’t believe this is key to future Halo games.

There I fixed that for you. I couldn’t resist, sorry man.

Wrong on so many levels.
People like you aren’t worth the time arguing with.
My bad man, usually I’m up for a good round and round, odd mood tonight.
Plus this subject is so worn out and tired, I could literally copy paste arguments from a week ago and be relevant

I’m sorry, what from that list was actually innovation on 343’s part?
Bringing back the BR. Yes, we should thank 343 because nobody else would of thought of such an out of the box idea.
Scrapping the Reach Arena Settings and AL. Uhuh, because Arena was so popular and Armour Lock was so balanced and fair.
Equalizing AAs. I don’t think we have 100% proof of this, and that’s kind of a given.
Purpose Built Maps. Uhuh, once again wheres your proof? Bungie did this with every other one of their games, and tried something new for Reach and it didn’t work so well.
EDIT: Reflection, Pinaccle, Asylum, Hemmorage. Those might have been remakes of purpose built maps. Not quite sure.

I’m saying that this release will be better than Reach. Taking ideas from previous games that worked, and improving the game. They are aware that everyone has a bad taste in their mouth after Reach, and they are trying hard to fix it. Problem is, everyone thinks that they’ll screw it up again like Reach without giving them a chance. 343 is listening to people, and trying to take Halo in a new direction while maintaining what makes Halo Halo. Whenever you people can respect that, things will look different, without the prophet’s lies clouding your vision.

I see what you did there at the end

No armor lock
Default sprint (does more help than harm) and slow down mechanic
Increased movement speed, strafe and jump height.
Maps not taking from campaign, and from scratch, built with AAs and competitive in mind.
Halo 3 used as a bench mark for movement and Ce bench mark for weapons. No duel wielding, for sandbox reasons and balancing.
These are improvements.
