Based on the Beta experience last Dec, The Sprint series, and all the game clips I’ve seen, this game is going to be a blast. Friendly fire appears to be back in multiplayer- less spray & pray with friendlies nearby. The armor looks tight, the maps look awesome, the tweaks and polishes they’ve done make a lot of sense- when considering the many fans’ wants and expectations.
The ‘sprint whining’ seems to have died down. The fourth ‘pillar’ regarding movement and mobility seems to shine- I sense those whiners have died down, too. A few more weeks…
I feel ya man. This game could quite easily be the best halo game to date imo. The MP is fun and solid, the campaign looks really replay able and open ended, and the story looks to be one of the most intricate, interesting plots of any FPS game in a long time. It’s a shame I don’t have an Xbone, but I hope everyone else has fun!
I definitely agree; after playing the beta I was super excited; it felt like the Halo style (which I know can be opinion based), with new features that I for one definitely liked. I felt like the sprint is a much needed aspect this day and age in any fps (even Halo IMO), and it felt fluid. The ADS (aiming down sights) felt solid and welcoming, but definitely didn’t feel like it made one a better player to use it, leaving the game feeling like the Halos of old. The ability to move around the maps quicker and easier was very welcoming to myself. All in all for a beta, the game felt very good even at that stage, and I’m very excited to see what the final product is. I haven’t been this psyched about a game or even a Halo game for some time.
I know everyone will have varying opinions in regards to this game or what they feel a “Halo” game is, and that is perfectly fine by me and needed by a community; but I for one can definitely get behind this game with what I’ve seen thus far. This 31 year old gamer likes the advances that Halo 5 appears to have taken and don’t feel like it’s gotten so far away from the original roots that it can’t be enjoyed by all ages.
Thanks for all your comments. I really wasn’t expecting any- I was just shedding some nerd chills. I honestly believe this game will be as big as Halo 2 was, and to be more honest, I think it’ll be even bigger; from all the gamers and fans, to the pro tournaments.
I hope tomorrow will start the sprint series. 4 episodes releasing each Monday with the last one on the eve of H5. Sounds like it would match up. Now to complete all Halos on MCC to fully release the hypeeeeeeee
