How’d I fix it? Well…long one coming up.
• Nerf the Gravity Hammer to function the way it did prior to Infinite.
• Remove the Bulldog and replace it with the old Shotgun.
• Make the Needler more consistent in its kill power (I swear I get hit with 5 needles and die, meanwhile it takes the whole clip for me to kill someone with it on numerous occasions).
• Remove the melee damage modifier to Banished weapons and make melee attacks kill in two hits across the board.
• Allow unlimited challenge swaps* (if the player has gotten the newest Battle Pass to Level 100).
• Allow universal Armor Core parts compatibility and color customization (this is not an unpopular opinion, I know. I’d be willing to pay up to $30 for this privilege should 343i actually fix this, considering the F2P model).
• Fix the storefront to allow all currently-released items to be displayed/searched for.
• Allow for an options toggle that re-enables on-foot friendly player collision. (The non-verbal feedback can come in handy in a variety of custom game types)
• Bring back the Covenant Carbine, Spartan Laser, DMR, replace Pulse Carbine and Shock Rifle with the original Plasma Rifle and Railgun, respectively. (*Alternatively, fix the accuracy of the Shock Rifle, it’s wildly inconsistent for an alleged precision weapon to land a headshot. I’d personally also like the VK78 Commando to be replaced by the DMR, but people like it, so let them coexist)
• Create a toggle for Custom Games that allows unlimited equipment usage.
• Bring back Halo 3’s system of previewing a map before its played on, along with the ability for a majority veto to force an alternate map (no vetoing the second one).
• Add an option to force solid red and blue team colors.
• A shield recharge meter that conveys how much time is left with lowered shields, similar to what was seen in Halo 5: Guardians.
• Bring back the red X’s upon death. The blue X’s were removed in H4, revert to the red X’s again.
• A large percentage of the human weapons sound basically the same, not much to distinguish what’s going on apart from firing patterns.
• Grenades and other explosives need their splash damage zone reduced.
• Restore the vehicle EMP ability to the Plasma Pistol.
• Restore the lock-on functionality for the M41 SPNKr (with regards to vehicle targets).
• Make grenades thrown where your cursor is currently pointed (a pet peeve I’ve had about the series for a long time, Infinite is not unique in this regard).
Possibly more to come. This’ll do for now.
