I bought the LE of Halo 4 because I like to pick up the LE of games I’m fond of, which is all good and well. I am, like the majority I’m sure, over the age of 17 and therefore have obligations that limit my playing time. So, I was expecting the implied advantage of having access to specializations before everyone else (something I paid for, right?). I just came back from a two week trip to find that now pretty much everyone has the specializations because of some email promotion. It says on the box that I should have had access to all specializations on the launch day. That was actually a lie because of the xp cap, it would be impossible to level up for at least a week if you played to the limit every day. So what was the point of spending $100? When I could have spent $85 (Standard Edition + map pass) and gotten the same thing? I mean, forward unto dawn is free online. The recruit PRIME armor is a joke. And now the specializations – most of which are borderline useless – are available with no significant time between the launch date and their release. Does anyone else feel that 343 screwed this one up?
This is why I analyze all of the limited or collector’s editions of games carefully. Half the time, if it’s a digital exclusive, it won’t be exclusive for long.
Yeah. Everyone here whining they didn’t get their email code are a bunch of entitled babies. Just be happy you’re getting a code. Some people paid to have exclusive early access to what you’re getting for free at the same time.
Makes no sense. Consider yourselves lucky and quit whining.
They should have thrown the fotus armor, the light rifle skin and the unicorn emblem instead of the forward unto dawn short film to make it worth your money.
Bops 2 Pro edition seems much more worth the price for the LE of Halo 4, just because of the turtle beaches.
