I just finished playing a match of King of the hill free for all and I gotta admit it has got to be the most idiotic gamemode in the history of gaming. I cannot even begin to describe or find my words to let you know the mess that was going on there.
There are almost 70 pages of response in the thread with playlist preferences, on every page there are several mentions about a NORMAL FREE FOR ALL MODE WITHOUT OBJECTIVES and yet they give us oddball and koth LOL LOL LOL. Who makes these decisions? What’s wrong with that person?? Jesus Christ FFA is my favorite mode for years, but not these jokes like regicide, koth etc… I’m so mad right now I’m afraid I’m gonna break my laptop.
Why they bothered with this fail of a playlist is beyond me!!!
Halo 3 FFA contained objectives and KOTH was extremely fun on FFA. I’ll enjoy it. But Oddball? That’s ridiculous haha.
If you don’t like it, just don’t play it. I haven’t tried it and won’t any. Wait for better gametypes like Grifball. That thing is fun in custom games. How could they mess up the matchmaking version?

Mate the second they come up with this idea everybody laughed and said no thanks, yet they go over and create this god awful play-list.
If the Oddball and King of the hill play-lists have 5,000 players max. what makes them think that everyone will flock over and play that crap?

Because there is a huge -Yoink- glitch that somebody didn’t care about to fix, or was just to lazy to fix, that can often times prevent the match from continuing.

You’d be surprised how something so simple can be ruined so easily.
If they allow Join In Progress in Grifball, the rage that will cause will be an epidemic.

And how can they deny us the pleasure of something so simple and so fun as a free for all mode - just put 6 or 8 guys on the map and let them kill each other to tears. It’s that simple!!!No objectives, no damn bounties on anyone’s head!!!It’s all we ask for!!

Why not at least throw Slayer into the playlist along with KOTH and Oddball? But I agree, all I want is FFA Slayer.
I think oddball and koth are fine in ffa, in h3 lone wolves I had pretty good and intense games in those. Also in reach rumble koth was fun when it rarely was voted. but ffa playlist without normal slayer just isn’t that interesting. constantly dying in the hill when trying to actually win the game is fun when you are competiting in some kind of ranking system (lone wolves). just running to the hill to die in the infinite nade spam gets kinda old in a casual playlist when you get only few extra exp for reward. after a few games I just rather stand and kill people from the distance
I thought it was fun, but okay.
This playlist is the worst thing that could happen to this game right now people are already quiting this game left and right for cod and this playlist isn’t helping at all why take out a good playlist like snipers for a stupid playlist like FFA throwback
343 really don’t have a clue do they. It should also be emphasised that in objective FFA games a lot of people will not care about winning unless the playlist is a skill based ranked playlist. They will just sit at the edge of the map and pad their stats.
I never liked KOTH and oddball in Lone Wolves halo 3 anyway, I thought they were too random and luck based to be in a ranked playlist so I’m disappointed that whoever is making the playlist decisions at 343 appears to have little understanding of the way halo plays.

and grifball better not have an effect on the players stats either
343 doesn’t want to admit that Regicide is not a fitting replacement for normal FFA.
IMO they should remove the regicide playlist and create a new FFA one that includes slayer, regicide, oddball, hill, and maybe some of the random Halo 3 gametypes people would usually veto like swords.
