So, I've got a new Gamemode Idea

My friends and I actually do this in Customs. We call it “Pick Your Poison,” a variant of Deathmatch.

–Rules!

  1. Take all the HQs, if 2v2, or 3v3, then each player gets an equal amount of HQs.
  2. Upgrade everything. EVERYTHING. So that means getting all the upgrades in your HQ, Barracks, Garage, Airpad, and Armory. And the Banished variants of those things.
  3. Since the match has just started, everyone gets Marines and Grunts only. The ‘Y’ ability is free game to use during battle.
3.5. Pick a place to start battling. We’ve found that SENTRY is the best map to do this. We use the metal plates at the top of the map as lines. When we say “go” then each player rushes their units across that line to battle. If it’s a 2v2 or 3v3, then it’s one player at a time.
  4. When one player loses, the player who beat them picks their poison, and chooses a unit for them to start using.
4.5. BUT WHAT IF ONE PLAYER ON BLUE WINS AND THE OTHER’S LOSE? Simple. The two losers have their winners choose a unit for them and the Blue winner chooses the Red loser’s unit.
  5. If you want to, you can use Leader abilities to attack in the middle of battle. If you have an ability that calls in units, then you use that before the battle, when your units are building. You can only use it when you have the units that it drops off, so if you have Goliaths as Colony, then you can use the Goliath Drop-Off ability.
5.5. While your units are being built, if you want to, you CAN use Heroes.
  6. Rinse and repeat from steps 3.5-5.5.

Alright, so if it would be a multiplayer game, obviously we’d need to make some changes.
–Changes!

  1. Upgrade the income for Supplies and Power, through the roof preferrably.
  2. Make unit build times instant for this gamemode.
  3. To make it easier to pick your poison, give the winner a little wheel (like the leader wheel) so that they can choose the Barracks, Airpad, Garage, or Armory (and the Banished variants if they beat a banished leader) for a more streamlined experience.
3.5. If the winner of a battle doesn’t pick their poison in 17 seconds, the game will automatically pick a random unit for the winner.
  4. In rules, to make step 3.5 easier, each Leader will get a Leader on the enemy team to constantly 1v1.
  5. Since you have the option of using Heroes, and you decide to, it’s kind of a win-lose sitaution. If you pick Jerome and use Omega Team and spawn Jerome with his mantis, you’ll win more battles, but you’ll be giving the enemy more units to use, potentially overrunning your own army. Maybe there could be a voting thing before the game starts that asks if players want to use Heroes at the beginning.
  6. The final unit will be the Ultimate units, the Condor and Scarab for each side. You cannot pick your poison on those units until the person you’re facing has all the other units.

Tell me what you guys think! My friends and I do this a lot, and it’s actually really fun.
EDIT: To clear things up a bit, when you lose with your base marine or grunt squads, then you can use those marine/grunt squads with whatever unit you’ve been given. You can just use all Marine/Grunt squads, or you can use all of whatever unit you’ve been given and hope that a different outcome happens.

So you all make max pop grunts and marines, when someone “loses” they are allowed to now make a mix of grunts and 1 other unit, and if they lose again they can make a mix of grunts and 2 other units? Am I understanding correctly?
