So i've got a couple of ideas for halo 4

So yeah, like the title I was sitting outside one day and thinking about how cool Halo 4 will be, and a handful of ideas came to me. I decided to write them down and re-post them here so that maybe 343i or someone that can send this stuff to them will see.
I don’t know how do-able these ideas are, but I do know they would greatly enhance every player’s experience.

1.Racing Mongoose
Kind of a fun idea, but if you guys remember Halo CE PC it had a rocket hog variant with yellow stripes. Sort of gave me this idea. It would be a mongoose with a racing setup, increased top speed, less loss of speed when turning or climbing, some sort of boost system, and its wheels wouldn’t lock when it exceeded 45 degrees, effectively allowing the proper use of loops. :slight_smile:

2. Vehicle Bouncing Shield Doors
Pretty self explanatory, just bring back Halo 3 shield doors. They were more fun than you know.

3. Transport Warthog
Go figure. But also with first person passenger view. 343 said they wanted the game to be more cinematic and make the player feel more like the supersoldier, what better way than maintaining first person when getting into the passenger seat? I understand the driver needs a better view because of Halo’s gameplay style, but passengers do not need 3rd person this much.

4. Copy/Paste
If any of you forge, you know this feature would save you so much time you might actually get one of these “life” things all your colleagues keep telling you about.
It would effectively cut the creation time of symmetrical maps in half. It would make common structural design on maps easier to achieve, but mainly the time being saved would be the greatest effect of this.

5. Weather FX and Day Night Cycles
My idea for weather fx is that they would function similar to visual fx and that only two would be allowed on a map at a time. Depending on the map, you could get
-fog
-snow
-rain
-sunny
-thunderstorm
-blizzard
-sandstorm

These fx would greatly add to the mood of the map, and in many cases give infection that extra creepy edge it so desperately needs. Also it needs to be set up where weather fx do not show up inside forged structures, like rain actually impacting placed pieces and not falling through.

Day Night Cycles
FarCry2 features a system like this, a 24-hour cycle would equate to 30 minutes in the real world. Now obviously many of the maps on alien locations won’t have 24-hour cycles, so I don’t exactly know how to work around that, but on maps that do like oh idk NEW MOMBASA an effect could be placed to activate a 30 minute day-night cycle during gameplay. Also you could set static times for your maps like
-dawn
-midday
-dusk
-midnight

Well, here’s my spill. I believe these changes if possible could greatly improve this already amazing game, and the benefits speak for themselves. Thanks for your time!

Post your ideas once Halo 5 is confirmed. Halo 4 is practically done already. There’s no point in listing new ideas. Your ideas are OK. They’ve been said before though. Many times before.

There is no need for transport hogs in multiplayer, if matches could hold more than 16 players, then it would be reasonable. And another thing on hog transports, we were never able to ride in the back in the first place… And Halo 4 won’t be open world, so forget about day/night cycles. Shield doors are in every Halo game. But mongoose races may be in the game, and it already exists in a way inthe rocket race game type. Plus it’s too late to add anything major to the game. It’s almost done with development.

I like the copy and paste in Forge, but I’d take a redo option over that first though. Nothing like deleting a floor by accident.
