it’s clear the arena maps we are getting are all remixes. We already have 3 remixes of truth, empire and plaza. And in one of the sprint episodes it shows concept art of the rig and fathom remixes coming. I think it is kind of lazy but also cool to see a map in the past and then the map years into the future when it’s been overtaken by nature or crashes in a planet like regret. so all in all we have 6 original maps with each getting a remix so rite now we are at 9 that we have. All we need in the future updates is the rig, fathom and colisieum remixes. After those that would be 12 arena maps and I think they will be done with arena maps. What do you think about this? Also what’s your favorite remix so far? Mine is overgrowth it’s very beautiful and full of nature.
If they didn’t flat out tell us that the maps were remixed, I honestly wouldn’t have been able to tell.
They all play completely different from their original counterparts. All they are doing is carrying over the theme.
They are remixed but they are quite different. I think just as much effort has been put into the remixed versions as the originals themselves. I dont mind.

I think the point is being missed here, but if you like the maps I won’t stop you. I feel there not what should be given as maps.
In principal it’s a cool idea, I like seeing the maps changed to be something else, I just with they would Stop making asymmetric maps, start remixing some balance.
I like Overgrown more than Plaza tbh. Plus they play completely different. Also I’m not going to complain about getting free maps.
At this point, I would rather pay for real maps. I hate every forge map 343 has given us, btb seem like an afterthought. The lighting in forge maps, just plain awful. A real eye sore.
The remixes are ok, but, I would rather pay for a new map, something really fresh. I find it misleading when they say all dlc is free, only to find remixes and forge.
It is like promising free food for a year without having the same meal twice, only to find one day you have pizza and the next day you have pizza without cheese on it. Although I am excited for free food, pizza without cheese is still pizza.
Halo has always had NEW maps as dlc, so when you say that is now free, I expect the same quality of the dlc all past halos have had, not watered down dlc.

You do have a write to constructively criticize if you wish, you want to see halo improve, not fail because we’re afraid to voice our opinion.
I don’t see a problem with remixes. I like what they did with Empire and Eden. One being symmetrical and one being Asymmetrical.
I would say that the two remixes we got in the base game (Eden and Regret) weren’t that great compared to Empire and Truth. But Overgrowth is a really unique take on Plaza, it’s pretty much nothing like Plaza except one or two rooms. I think the Rig and Fathom remixes are going to be really good. I assume the Rig remix is going to be a symmetrical map and Fathom remix is going to be asymmetrical.

Then you need your eyes checked .
At least Arena is getting something to remix. Unlike BTB.
But seriously, I’m hoping that while they are remixing quite a few maps now, eventually well get some more original maps. Of course I’m sure those will be remixed 2/3 times after they come out.

Empire is a remix of Eden not the other way around actually.
I like the idea but I get it’s the principle of it more than anything.

I agree with u , btb maps are awful , better to pay and take normal cool maps
