I think it’s actually quite a clever marketing idea, making the items seem somehow prestigious but people still need to want the items at the price they are selling for. Not sure they’ve hit the mark yet on that front.

Yes. I suppose it is clever, in a way! Although, I’m not quite sure completing a 10 tier Event pass in Halo Infinite could be considered ‘prestigious’… 
And the pins are a little better priced than the jacket, I agree. The postage, on the other hand…

To reiterate a point a made before, 343 couldn’t even break the forums in a way that makes sense.

I thought the 20th was over there but I guess not. Must be pretty close now whatever their plan is.
I’m hoping the discussion in the Halo Infinite thread on Discord pick up at least a little. Pretty quiet so far.
On the east coast it’s almost 11:30pm, but if they go by end of day their time it won’t be until 3am my time.
I don’t know if you were on the discord before they consolidated the chats/threads. There was more spread out content and dedicated MCC/HALO 5 boards but they smooshed it into one main discussion and just the infinite forum style off branch. Since the discord is a lot of regulars now if you aren’t there during a discussion you just kind of have to bring the topic up again. It is not the most cohesive way to have continued discourse on one topic.
I don’t mind a chat format - but I can see how if you don’t use the platform a fair amount it can be isolating.

Never used discord for anything other than voice chat with friends before. The Halo infinite thread seems simple enough once I found it but it’s lacking in functionality compared to this forum.
Still it gets the job done so if enough people migrate over to it I’ll probably stick around.

Most of the regulars are really nice. It has been busier recently with the forum closing, hopefully will stay that way.

I’m playing at the moment and kept a tab open on my computer, as I was curious when they’d have it all locked. Guess I will find out tomorrow at this rate.
