Or am I blind? There just seems to be the 4v4 playlist, the BTB playlist, and no other options for multiplayer besides custom games (with no browser).

Gotta be included as permanent. When solo lone wolfing, you get to know and fine tune your individual skill better
I think it’ll come later since it be baffling to have things like forge later on if they weren’t planning to let players choose custom game-types.
Oh, there’ll no doubt be the option in custom games, I’m just disappointed it’s not available to play in matchmaking at launch.
Not right now, here’s hoping they bring it in soon. At least as a rotational playlist.
I’m reeeeeeally hoping this playlist setup is only because it’s technically still a beta at this point.

I can confirm it’s in the game. I don’t know if it’s an option for custom games but I’ve seen Halo: Infinite mods demoed using a FFA gametype on Bazaar.
It’s just a matter of when 343i will make a spot for it in matchmaking.
FFA gamemode not being included is dissapointing… but SWAT not being included? is just LAZY
343 actually has no excuse, especially since, in the custom games menu, YOU CAN MAKE IT. if the player can make it with eaz, so can the DEVS. like… how lazy do you have to be, in 6 years, to make the game, make the core gameplay, allow players to change the core gameplay, yet not use this to your advantage to make 2 of the most icconic game modes that LITTERATLY just need 1-2 small changes. remove teams for FFA, and remove the shields with the BR as a starting weapon for SWAT…
would be really awesome if they did a 24 man ffa. like in a forge world like battle arena but i wouldnt battle arena halo because shields recharge and it would be a camp fest around corners. but a ffa based system in a sandbox map like that would be insane.
After seeing a preview of the Event rewards for February, there is a Lone Wolf Nameplate background… So maybe it is planned as a Event-Playlist then.
I realy hope 343 is not doing the same yoink they did with Halo 5 and let us wait months just to play basic Playlists. They can always tape a Eventpass on a existing Gamemode and make it stand out. But just removing them or letting them rotate all the time is so -Yoink!- stupid.
I agree. I don’t want rotational playlists. Halo: MCC had population issues, Halo Infinite does not.
There is currently no SWAT, FFA, King of the hill, Infection, Whatever the reverse CTF gamemode was where you plant the bomb, and I’m probably missing a load more, I’m hoping that on Dec. 8 they reveal they had everything set up but just wanted to wait for the official release date.

You can only play FFA in customs for now. Unfortunately, customs are severely lacking, so I can’t make thruster sword tournament mode or elimination.
