I don’t know if this is an issue on the PC but it is still an issue for me on the xbox series x. I have speed lines turned off and ever since beta launch, the game does not remove speed lines from my screen. Normally, this wouldn’t be such a big deal until you consider the fact that 343 hasn’t even fixed something so basic. Issues like these make me worried about the future honestly. I’m excited to see what’s in store but i’m also really skeptical.
Thankfully I was able to turn that junk off. I’m on PC.
Yes, it’s very alarming how incredibly slow and inefficient they’re being. Like wow yikes.
Some have mentioned this:

Yeah I have it turned “off” as well, but they are still there
why even have these lines? I know it’s for affect, but it looks horrible.
I hope one day they’ll be gone, but I’m not counting on it.
Series S user here. It is indead still visible even after turning it off.
But what bothers me WAY MORE is that changing horizontal and vertical display margins does absolutely nothing on Xbox and functions perfectly on PC.
Yea for a while they were gone. But after one of the updates they pushed, they started to appear again.
Why would anyone ever want speed lines to show…looks dumb.
Yep…every time I restart Halo…I toggle speed lines on and off and toggle all my video settings from 0%-1% back to 0%.
It’s one thing that these video options (speed lines, blur, screen shake) are useless and inhibit multiplayer play and slow down the game……it’s another thing that we can’t turn them off and keep them off.
It’s on 343s long to do list….hopefully.
Although I’ve got a friend who is a game designer for Microsoft…he said something like that should take less than a day to fix….so I don’t what what the hell is going on at 343.
Sometimes I wonder if people at 343 even play their own game. There are so many things like this that are so obvious if you just play the game. If I was to file a bug report for every one of these things, it would be like a full time job.
Haha, yea…they either don’t play their own game at all…or they just play it all day and never actually work on it…
The conclusion: it’s rough out here
Same, everytime I turn them off they just come back.
This needs more attention, toggling on/off every time I turn the game on is getting old.
Hey look! Another one of these threads!
In settings I turned those speed line off! They are really annoying! ![]()
Hahaha, why is this post flagged?
They will be busy with centering the Cyberpunk Visor in Season 2.
Your issue will be adressed in 2023. Maybe in Season 4…
There are a lot of little things that heavily imply that a lot of things have been forgotten / overlooked in this game. Like the “skip” button right after the game ends. It doesn’t matter if you press skip or not, nothing changes - there is nothing to skip.
I mean it’s not an gamebreaking issue, but it doesn’t make a good impression.
You’re questioning why this is broken yet since December I, and many others, haven’t been able to play the Campaign because our save file(s) randomly became corrupted and 343 has not said one word about it. And the Campaign costs money btw.
Modern Gaming is incredibly depressing.
Wait you sprint in Infinite?
All the problems, and you want to nitpick about freaking speed lines? Whats next on the list of nitpicking? Maybe we can just get it out in one shot. Everyday some new stupid little thing to cry about. Who cares about the speed lines ffs. Tuneup multiplayer first, then on to little stupid things. This is getting ridiculous. Like no one has anything better to do but wake up and decide what to complain about on halo…
They come back on every time I restart the game.
