What would you guys think of a slightly toned down movement system? Like, a hybrid of old and new.
For example: Remove spring, but increase the base movement speed. Remove thrusters/ground pound and whatnot.
But, keep/add something like mantling high ledges, vaulting over cover and whatnot. Things that would increase the pace slightly and make things more fluid, but that wouldn’t change the balance of the sandbox like the latter.
I’d love to go back to classic, but I still wanna feel like I have the kind of movement a Spartan would, you know? Just a though. Sorry for any typos, little drunk!
The thing about this is everyone has wildly varied opinions. Some love clamber, some hate it. Some love ground pound, some hate it. Me, I’d be happy with all the abilities gone except for thrust. Thrust I feel could keep a classic feel while also giving us some variety. Don’t get me wrong, I love Halo 5’s gameplay, but it’s been over a decade since a classic multiplayer, so I think we should return to it and give it a shot.
That sounds perfect to me.
