So if the Didact died at the end, whats gonna happen in halo 5??
Im not expecting anyone to know, but anyone have any ideas or speculations?

Who was narrating in the end? The Didact right? Then how is he dead? please think for a moment and then ask your question ;D
I believe we might fight our first humans. Remember the beginning how halsey was being drilled by someone higher up then ONI? now that the war between humans and covies is “over” the gov is trying to cover it up and get rid of the people who knew what happened. The new spartans are being made to do what the higher ups want. Also i don’t think the didact is dead.
Prometheans arn’t hostile by nature. They were guarding the didact to make sure he didn’t leave and since the didact was the only forunner we knew to still exist and i doubt 343 would introduce a new faction and then not include them in the next game i assume hes still alive. We might fight the same faction of covies (storm faction) considering their leader is still around.
I’d like to see arby come back and since for all we know cortana is dead chief might get paired up with a new AI and i would find it interesting if cortana wasn’t gone and she finds out about this new AI with chief. Just my ideas though.
true, didnt cortana mentioned something about a slipspace tear or opening, so the didact MAY have fallen into a portal and survived

Halo 5 will focus on chief’s rage! And Oh man I want to see FRED KELLY AND LINDA ARGH! i want them to be all reuniony! and palmer gets all jelly cause her spartan 4’s don’t amount to squat in comparison! D:!!! D:<!!
Ah, and also cortana may not have actually died, i doubt 343 would make such a bold move and have NO cortana in halo 5 and 6
Remember when the librarian snatched cortana, I think she may have done something to cortana, perhaps the cortana that died wasnt the real one

How did you guys miss the giant orange portal under them. The Didact falls into the portal at the end.
Aren’t there two Didacts? i’m not entirely sure which Didact we fought in Halo 4 since there are contrasting theories on which version it was, but all i know is that there are two.
I wouldn’t count him out just yet.
Here’s my theory of events for the rest of the series.
Obviously the Flood needs to return. Didact understands that threat all too well and even though he doesn’t see humanity as fit to uphold the Mantle he sure as hell isn’t going to let the Flood destroy everything just for the sake of revenge. I think he may come to be an ally in the future.
Cortana needs to also make her return. How 343 plans on doing this I can only guess, but I’m pretty sure by the end of the series she’ll have a real human form. I hold that her data or essence is somewhere on Requiem thanks to the time she spent with the Librarian when she snatched her.
But yeah the big wild card is the Flood. I’m pretty anxious to see how 5 plays out. I have a gut feeling the Flood threat is going to become full blown exactly like the time of when the Forerunner fought them.
I’d also like to see some mention of Mendicant and Offensive Bias in the games, as well as 343/Chakas relation. Return of the Arbiter would be nice as well just as long as I don’t have to play as him…

I think 5 will probably have both the didact and cortana in it.
But the main focus will be Chiefs mutation into a forerunner type person, his eyes in the legendary ending definitely werent human and he had grown considerably (compared to woman major )
I don’t think he physically grew… wouldn’t make sense considering his armor would have also had to have grown… I think John and the rest of the Spartan II’s were always that much taller than normal humans.
In the cutscenes if you watch when he first meets that women in white armour she is upto his shoulders, but in the last cutscene chief towers her.
Its only a theory but thats what i took from the height change, also the fact he was immune to the composer could mean his DNA isnt human anymore?

The Didact fell into the Composer’s beam, so he isn’t dead, regardless. He’s in some digital form and will likely make a return in Halo 5. Also, why is this a question? Obviously we’ll be fighting the Flood in Halo 5 and 6.

Has there been a predicted time frame for Halo 5 to be released? I know it’s early, but there is so much exciting stuff coming up. My theory is Cortana will be turned into a human (even though I don’t know how she can travel with Chief anymore), Didact is still alive, and hopefully sometime the Arbiter will return.

impossible, knights and other promethians arent able to be converted by flood. which is why they were made.

actually i think the chief always towered over her, they never gave us a good angle to judge until the closing scene, but unarmored im pretty sure the SII’s were over 7 feet tall. (im 6 foot 2 inches. i have a friend who is 7 foot 1 inch. and he is massive compared to me, i reach just about mid his chest.

There wouldn’t be Flood Knights, but the Flood are the driving force behind the entire Halo story, so I’d imagine they’ll make a prominent appearance, especially following the first Forerunner appearance.
