I used one of my Nornfangs last night, and it is a one hit kill regardless. Damage Booster is active as soon as you equip it so you will glow red every time you have it in your hands. Pretty sure that is to counter balance the fact that you can see your radar while scoped in.
Managed to get a quick overkill and then proceeded to get a Running Riot afterwards! Also, since my Kinect wasn’t wanting to cooperate with me during the game, I had to go into the theater to record this clip, hence why all personal on the map was highlighted for a brief moment, had nothing to do with Nornfang being equipped just to clear that up!

I was kind of surprised about that too! It does fire explosive rounds, but I didn’t test it out on vehicles… I did manage to go on a Running Riot and all 16 rounds I spawned with found their targets haha.

Yes, one-hit no matter where you hit at least from what I could tell. I will do my best to record more of that game when I get home from work today. Headshots even register as a normal Sniper Kill and not a Sniper Headshot probably because of the explosive rounds!

I know that’s the case for the Arrow of Time Sniper Rifle (also has six rounds in the magazine), but I don’t remember getting tagged by anyone while using Nornfang last night.

Yeah, if the Damage Booster would be needed for people like me who run around with Advanced Sensors so the Motion Sensor active would be useless Think Overshields or Upgraded Shields could survive Nornfang’s one-hit capability?

I was curious to see how Nornfang worked on Spartans equipped with OS but no one spawned with it haha. And I’m not sure about the Upgraded Shields!

I was kind of thinking about how much ammo comes with the rifle when you spawn. I think you only get one extra magazine with Whispered Truth which was a bit of a bummer when I used it. Oathsworn also has 10 extra shells.

I’ve seen the beams on the field and freaked remembering anywhere and your dead. So I would play smarter, hide more, creep in the shadows or take a entirely different route. Knowing this now I fell ashamed I let me team down by hiding and choosing cover over trying to take the enemy out. What used to be a great weapon is now just a simple gimmick. Such a sad state for what used to be such a Bad-@$$ gun.

It’s a one-hit kill, but you have to concentrate the fire on a player for a small duration of time. No touching someone’s toe for an instant kill. It’s still very much a power weapon, however.
Think Overshields or Upgraded Shields could survive Nornfang’s one-hit capability?
