even Bravo and everyone on the live stream is saying how they will never get it and saying how ridiculously hard doing those company commendations are… why can’t they just make it able to be obtained that way but put up a limited time req pack like they did with the HCS req pack?
I think it should be placed within a special req pack or have it available every other month. Those commendations just to receive that Armour seems really RICK-diculous.

No. There needs to be things to work for, we need things we can actually show off because we were skilled enough to get it, not because we paid for it or it RNG’d into our lap.
I do feel that Spartan Company commendations was a stupid thing to base it on rather than personal/in-game achievement, but at least it’s something.
I like actually having to work for something.

I would be more than happy to work for any and everything in the game… but not when MY completion and unlocking of something has to rely on other people.

Except that the entire premise of the game is multiplayer combat. From the campaign through multiplayer it’s all team work.
Luckily what is great is my company as a whole is working marvelously on these commendation and I expect us to get the armor (Rank 3) in a week or 2 weeks.
I see why some would rather not have to be in a company that then works to get the armor. I myself achieved Recon in Halo 3 before it was given to everyone. I understand doing things mostly by yourself works better for many players. But I am not worrying and my company is showing promise. All I can say is if you want it then get it. Join a company or work with the one your in until you get it. With the HCS style req idea, just no. Why do you want things easier and handed to you? 343 wants it to be hard to get and should stay hard to get. All opinion of course.

Your at 8% for Kill Commendations. A week or 2 will happen if you have 100 members that play 24/7.Have you seen the levels you have to get to just to get past level 1?

Most the levels are very close to rank two. Rank 3 is when you get the armor which is what I clearly stated. The helmet will take much longer. No reason to put the company down.

As much as having people splay constantly can help, a few cant really be sped up unless you jave 100 people. Ones like kills from the grave cant be forced, so it takes luck that your company will get the few thousand of them needed for the commendation.nwhich is why it may take a very long time

I’ll second the fact that there needs to be stuff that players actually need to work towards. However I think making it based on the Company commendations was a fine idea. The only issue I have is that the amount required for each commendation doesn’t vary based on Company size. With how it currently works the Achilles armor is basically saying F U to all of the smaller companies.
Now on a separate but related note lets check the math.
I’ll use the spartan kills and a 100 member company vs a 10 member company for a simple instance. So level 1 for spartan kills requires 50000 kills. Thats 500 per person in a 100 member company (perfectly reasonable if you ask me) and 5000 per person in a 10 member company. Where is the fairness in this since not every company is able to get to 100 members. Heck my own company has been fluctuating around 35 for the last few weeks because people just keep joining and leaving a few days later. We haven’t even finished level 1 on all the kill commendations yet and if they act the same as our individual commendations the requirement will double for the next level.
I don’t care if they make a set of armor ridiculously hard to get. Hopefully they will make more armor sets that can be earned over just luck of a req pack.

I agree. I know a lot of companies have been started up specifically for this armor but like you said… the amount for the commendations are very high. so even if you have 100 members, they would have to be highly active to complete all of those. that’s why I suggested another HCS style $10/80k RP req pack.

I don’t think anyone who has replied minds earning anything in game, it’s just the fact that you need so many commendations from a spartan company to do so. I mean I did the campaign solo legendary and found all the Intel and skulls and didn’t get anything but bragging rights… so of course I would play for hard to get armor, I just don’t want to have to rely on others to do so. that’s all I’m saying.
I think 3/3 and 4/4 would be fine. 5/5 seems to be like 9 months out? Based on the luck ones like from the grave. And first strike? And I don’t know about you…I just don’t think most company’s will have the man power in the long run. And I think have to be in the company when it is achieved? To recieve. Would really suck if my company didn’t make it…joined anthor and start over. Or join one that’s passed 3 and get the helm. Then join anthor to rank back up to get armor.
Yeah I would guess u would have to be a member when it happens or the first company would get 5/5 will sell slots in company for Toons to recieve e it…

It’s just part of the “team” aspect they are trying to push. Some just have to accept that you may not unlock every thing. Also I also beat the campaign on legendary and got the audio files and skulls… you get awarded achievements and gamer score. You don’t get anything for unlocking everything but “bragging rights”
I’d be more happy with it if I could obtain it on my own and not having to be part of a team. I like grinding but I hate when I have to rely on others in order to get something like that. ( I know this is a team based PvP game but I think some people get what i’m trying to say)

I understand. There are achievements that you have to do in co op or as a team that I will never get. It sucks but that is the way it is sometimes.
