So I was wondering about Armour...?

In Halo: The Master Chief Collection we get only full Armour presets and in Halo 5 we can only have separate helmets. Why? I hope that in Halo 6 we can at least customize like in Halo 3. At most hopefully we can see Armour customization like in Halo 4. I remember playing Halo 4 thinking “Wow! I can customize the legs and arms of my Spartan too!?! Awesome!” Not only that but we were able to customize our visors in Halo 4 and that returned in Halo 5 but I’d like to know why we can’t customize all our Armour? And I would like to see at least Halo 3 levels of customization back in Halo 6!

But… you can change the armor, and you can change the visor.

I am baffled by the lack of customization, tho not really bothered as such. I did once read that they armor selection was locked because they didn’t want several armor bits and pieces to ‘‘clip’’ through each other.

I do agree. I find it boring and very simplistic that we don’t have as much variety like in Reach. And honestly, I can barely recognize other players armor. It is like the aesthetic of the armor can be seen up-close. And only seen after you die. This doesn’t seem like much of an issue. But when I get a really cool armor, I want my team and the enemy team; to see how bad-Yoink!- it is before I crush them. Or vice-versa.

I’d like to even see Halo: Reach levels of customization. You could change your helmet, both shoulders (individually), wrist, utility, and knee guards, as well as attachments for the helmets. It was great because no one looked completely alike.

I already have some that clip through each other. Any armor with something jutting out around the sternum and a pointy helmet (like Anubis) and it clips.

Yea that’s why im a littled thrown off after reading that comment back then. Surely when a spartan crouches in Halo 5, you can see how the leg pieces just clip completely… If it IS true they didn’t want clipping… why would they design such a strange crough position? o.o I mean in the Bungie Halos… You’d rest on your knee with one leg, in a more tactical position.

I personally appreciate previous customization compared to what we havery now, but I doubt that 343i will change it, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made it close to the way it was in MCC.

Reach level of customisation as stated above…, nuff said

Well even when I agree with you op and the full costumization should be a must in the next game, I doubt it will return or at least I can’t figure out how should it return, mainly because of the req system, I’m sure it will return since 343 managed to get over a million dollars from req packs. That said, I will find it really tiresome to unlock an armor by parts for example (helljumper legs, chest, arms and so on) but that’s my way to see it, hope I’m wrong and we can see unique Spartans in the next game.

I Wholeheartedly agree! I for one am in favor of the system they had in Halo 4 where you’d earn Armour instead of using what’s equivalent to a lottery system. I also meant it as a sort of wish, I realize the chances aren’t very high that this will take place in Halo 6 but one can dream…

I miss Reach’s customization, where you could actually customize your own Spartan, not already have preset armors.

I think it’s manageable if 343 decides yo take away some of the paint jobs that are on the armors. Like instead of making 3-4 variants of the same armor (noble-noble honor-noble valor) just make ONE noble set, so we don’t have to unlock three noble shoulders and in that way, unlocking arms, chest and legs will definitely be a nice touch. And add a third color choose for the armors so if there’s anyone that misses armor paint jobs, can be satisfied too.

Hey! I like the 8 billion default white recruits and army of black MK VI gen 1 spartans!

Word. I miss the customization from H3 up to H4. I think I spent more time making my character look like a true ODST in H:Reach then anything else lol

I hear that! I spent most of my hours in Halo 4 customizing my spartan to have a Mark V Helmet with ODST legs Chest and Mark V arms… Don’t quite remember what I did with the shoulders though… I think I used my Hazop(FRST) Shoulders I got for preordering…
