Halo 5 had some server issues so I went over to Reach to play some Grifball. I used to have many good memories of this one. But when I joined a game and were about grab the bomb and commit to the objective I am betrayed by a fellow teammember. I notice how the other team just stands in a corner and anyone trying to play the game is instantly killed by teammembers. I’ve heard about how easy it is to farm CR this way and I believe we were awarded 15-20k in the end. I understand some people would like to exploit this but it really is powerabuse at it’s worst. In the end I think I was betrayed somewhere in between 30-50 times. Most games seem to play out this way by the look of it. Is there some kind of unofficial rule that grifball is for CR-farming only?
No, but I know what you mean. I have gotten into some good games hope you get some soon.
Grifball is pretty much used for cR farming. Very few people really only play it to win. The reasons being are that Grifball is the easiest game type to get fast kills and sprees, which lets you rack up fast cR in a short time. Holding the bomb for as long as possible and scoring right at the last few seconds of Sudden Death gives you a huge cR bonus as well.
I’m curious how you got 15-20k cR though? I can only max out at 6-7k cR after a full game and that’s after tens of triple kills, overkills, hammer sprees, and at least 1 score. In an average game I tend to get 1-2k cR. I’m Commander Grade 1 if that matters.

I think this may be why I was temporarily credit banned a few days ago. I get into a lot of games where the teams don’t want to commit to the OBJ. I do know that the easiest way to get the 15-20k cR is by having a neutral game. So no one plants at all and if you hold the rounds out until the end including sudden death you’ll get more. I enjoy the credits, but it is very unfortunate that such a great and fun game mode has gone to nothing but credit farming.
Could be that I haven’t played in so long that I got a “welcome back” bonus if there is such a thing. Worth noting is that the game was a tie.
Griffball ROCKS!!!
Ya grifball in reach is mainly used for credit farming which is a shame. Although hope may seem lost for grifball, I have a good solution. I find it quite fun to -Yoink- with people’s credit farming by scoring the points myself while killing teammates who are trying to stop me as well as the other team. Gets me good credits, and I disrupt their shameful exploit of the great grifball game. Join me in my crusade to make grifball great again
I just racked up 25000cr in a game where everyone was trying to farm. the kept trying to spawn kill me but i was at least getting a trade every time. ended up going the full game with overtime and won it in the last 2 seconds. I had 256 kills. Get wrecked cheaters

Nope, just people who don’t understand what LIVE Code of Conduct is, nor them understanding that they agreed to it, so them doing what you explained is griefing a game and ruining the quality of your gameplay experience, as well as exploiting the map’s spawn system in a fashion that was not intended as well as the performance bonus system to boost, which is cheating. In that, they violated Code of Conduct.
If anybody does this again to you in the future, make sure to report them, cheating being the reason and then submit a player review, avoiding that player or sets of players, Unsporting Conduct being the reason. If they are on the Xbox One, it will rightfully hurt their reputation and if they keep getting a negative review for said repeated actions, they will only get paired up with other people on the Xbox One who has a low or bad reputation, in which they have nobody to blame but themselves for their own actions.
I know this was a thread that was recently revived on 03/30/2017 and the last post was 7 hours ago, however this answer still hits home for what to do if anybody has dealt with this and wants to know what to do, and makes that clear. Can a mod or admin please lock this thread now?
