Halo 4’s was the Lich and Halo 5’s is the Kraken.

the kraken is closer to a scarab than the lich could ever be and I don’t consider the lich a replacement

I liked both of the replacements, but I would love to see the scarab back and for it to be as awesome to take down as the one in halo 3!
I’ve liked them all and the Kraken looks like it’ll be fun to take down as well. But the scarab was always so awesome to fight!

I don’t mind the Kraken taking the Scarab’s place, it’s 3 times the size of a Scarab!

I believe we’ll be fighting 2 Krakens in Halo 5. There’s the one on Enemy Lines and I believe I remember somewhere there was another Kraken on some sort of snow mission that was firing projectiles to the ground.
Although it could be the same one, or we might not be able to fight the one on the snow mission. That’d be a tiny bit disappointing if so, but it is what it is.

Not to mention how one was destroyed by a SINGLE ODST in Halo 3: ODST. How do you mess up that badly?
Although scarab fights were fun, they were super underpowered. Hopefully the Kraken will be tougher.
I would be awesome if there was a Kraken on a Warzone map that we would have to destroy.
The Scarabs were absolutely useless, be it in Halo 2 or Halo 3 always down within seconds 
I don’t even bother in Halo 3 to get them down to the knees i either take a Hornet, Landing on it and destroy the core or during “The Storm” taking the Elevator at the crane with a Mongoose and jump onto it from there

The methods of killing a Lich and Scarab are quite similar. Board a giant vehicle, kill a bunch of enemies, destroy a core, escape before it explodes.
I know the Harvester was also similar in that regard, but it wasn’t in the main campaign.
