So I Never Got to Play the Halo 5 Beta...

I pre-ordered the Halo: Master Chief Collection the same week I heard about it- the E3 announcement. As time went on I learned more and more about the game- including how those who bought it got a free pass to the Halo 5 Beta. Needless to say, I was psyched and ready.

So naturally the game came out and was more or less a train wreck (on the matchmaking side anyways), so I moved to greener pastures while the issues were fixed. Then the Halo 5 beta started and I returned, ready to see what was in store for us come late 2015. And what happened? I couldn’t download it, on account of being a minor.

I gave it a while, expecting this to be an issue that would be resolved with time. I mean surely I wouldn’t be locked out of it, right? I paid to buy the game, I’ve been a loyal Halo fan my whole life, surely this would be an experience I wouldn’t miss out on!

No dice. The beta came and went, and I never got to play it. And I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little frustrated about it. I mean I payed for the game, and therefore by extension I payed for the beta too, right? I looked around and never saw anything about an age gate on the beta. If there was one, direct me to it and I’ll color myself misinformed. But as of right now, I’m right and proper angry. I was really looking forward to this beta. I heard it was awesome.

So did anyone else share my misfortune? Or am I in the wrong and it was stated there would be an age gate?

my friend had the same prob. i let him on my account - i dont know him in personally - but weved been xbox friends as long as i can rememebr having a 360. i let him put my account on his xb1 and he set it were my acocunt was on his xbox one and that his xb1 was my home xbox and he bypassed it and i could still play with him. and while it downloaded i downloaded his account and we played MCC on each others accounts. SUPER FUN. but a major bummer you missed the beta :frowning:

Why didn’t you just make a new account? All accounts on the xbox one have gold, if one of them have gold. None of the stats were getting saved anyway. Or, tell your parents to remove the parental security?

Anyway, the game feels like Halo 4 with 50-75% shield: + a few new abilities, or COD: Advanced warfare, with a small increase in HP.

It feels very fun. Not like call of duty… yeah, very big nope there.
Equal starts, although on forge maps the sides weren’t too well balanced I think. But it was so fun. It isn’t perfect but it feels more, visceral, than the previous games. It feels sharp and good.

And yeah, you should have made another account I guess…
