Friend and I are trying to play Coop Campaign. I knew there was an issue along time ago. Was there ever a fix for it?
We cant see each other online in game
Cant invite each other
It says he cant connect to online when he is in my party with Xbox Live gold.

How is our game consoles connected to the internet? I presume different locations or under same house hold?
What is the ISP modem Mfr and model? Does it have built in router?
Is there another router behind the ISP Modem? If so, what is the Mfr and model# of this router?
Same questions for your buddy’s set up…
Having two routers on the same line will cause problems. Recommended set up is a ISP modem with out a router and a external connected router. LAN cable connection between game console and main host router.

He has another internet provider and lives about 3 hours away. We got into a lobby but just to get disconnected after starting the mission

Need some details to see if this is network related or not.
Does this happen with a different multi player game?
Happens to me sometimes too. You just have to wait a few minutes then your friend will just randomly appear online in the MCC.
You said you get disconnected when missions start. Is this with Halo 2? As far back as I can remember I could never get Co-op to work for H2 but the other games seemed to work fine…Some missions were playable but others would just crash the game before loading making the game incompleable during Online Co-Op.
Edit: I remember someone saying something about having the default for cutscenes being Classic worked. I’d try doing scoring turned on since it skips cutscenes and see where that gets you.
