My son has been bugging me to try out forge world, so I did. I spent days making this map (a rather nice one for my first attempt if I may say so) only to find out that I cannot upload it. Our xbox is the 4GB slim version and apparently there is no way to upload the maps or take screen shots unless I have an official xbox HDD. (sigh).
So, my question is this. Can I copy it to some other device like a flash drive or a usb hdd and then upload it? Is there another way, aside of buying a HDD, to skin this cat?

what you could do is get a flash drive, plug it into your xbox and let the xbox format it, copy the data of the map onto it, and download usbxtaf http://digiex.net/downloads/download-center-2-0/xbox-360-content/apps/4046-xbox-360-usb-storage-explorer-xplorer-xtaf-v44-new.html , run the program and insert your usb dive into the computer, open the usb inside the program and as long as the map is the only item in the usb, double click on the long string of letters, that will indicate your profile ( it should be the only line) double click on the drop down line, should be like 88885B ,double click on 0000001, again it will be really easy to find. on the right hand side click on the long 26 digit character, AAAAVAXCDVVVB… thats just an example of what it looks like, and that will be your map. you can then drag and drop that and can upload that to mediafire/megaupload to share.
now you can also let someone copy into their fileshare by allowing them to play it…thats would be easier.

The Slim only has an internal 4Gb solid state HDD.
Like the user above me said; You’re going to have to get it out of your internal HDD by using a USB. It’s very simple, if you just add it to your file share I’d be able to upload it to a file hosting website for you.

I checked out the usbxtaf app and it will probably work but I’m thinking it might be easier to have someone join me in forge world and then have them save it locally to their console. Then from there they could upload it to Bungie and/or another file sharing website.
If you, or anyone else, is wiling to help me out doing it this way, I’d really appreciate it. Ideally, what I’d really like is to have some seasoned veterans play the map and give me some feedback. As proud as I am of it, the reality is It’s my first map (well, the first one I believe is worth sharing) and it will probably need some adjustments. I’d ask my son to get some of his xbl friends to do it but he only communicates with two or three kids and they are like nine or ten years old.
Anyone wiling to help out, either by grabbing the map and uploading or just playing a match or two, please send a fr to EonSoldier96.
