before i make myself look stupid i would like to know what he/she is the admin of or rather does her job have anything to do with game play at all.
When i get an answer to this question i will either go on about this thread or kill it all at once.

OK, you’ve gone too far. You can argue that being a CM doesn’t require playing the game well, but designing the game should require above-average aptitude in playing Halo. Or, is it why we have the garbage of a game we currently have?

So you think the best football coaches are the players themselves?

HAHA being good at halo or at least decent is very crucial to good gameplay. I’m pretty sure the makers of Halo 4 were not very good which is why they threw a slew of one shot weapons, took away map weapons, and few other things. Also the developers of the maps obviously do not udnerstand how to make a map that is fun to play on but still is made for competitive play because their maps are just plain awful.

OK, here we go. Bring up every other example of what we’re NOT talking about.

Coaching a team and designing a video game are really not that comparable

Well, Bungie themselves weren’t rockstar players and they managed to craft Halo: CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Yeah they made Reach too, but as far as being “above-average” is concerned, Bungie wasn’t.

Wrong.
Bungie had humpday matches against clans all the time, and destroyed them quite often.
I can’t believe anyone can even argue what i said. Being good at Halo would be key to making good game play. And even if that’s not the case being a skilled player couldnt hurt.
Seriously guys i’m open to any opinions but i just don’t get how you think not being good would help make good gameplay…

There were some great players at Bungie and there were quite a few awful players. Same goes for 343i.

Having the hand eye coordination to be a good player has nothing to do with having the knowledge of making a good game.
I am older now and not nearly as sharp as I used to be 10 years ago when I was playing in Halo CE tournaments. Does not mean I know less about game design than I did then.
^ Its called having experience. What your discribing is a chef that dosn’t taste their own food, goes and cooks up something new and serves it expecting people to like it - ain’t going to happen
