Yeah, but having a quick overview of what you’ve still got to do is a lot quicker than going in to manually count, especially when none of those matter at the time you go to check as those you progress are available without going to look at all the challenges. Having a progress bar to the ultimate challenge there would be useful and also telegraph that there’s more to it than just 20 challenges, even if they talk about it at some other points.

Yes, we start with anecdotal things, people admitting to getting banned after having quit 16 matches for no Oddball, or getting away scotfree after jquitting 10 matches due to not getting what they need.
There could be something there, time to look into it.
All these people complaining that 343 is ruining the game by not giving rewards for winning. Now 343 rewards people for winning and they still complain. 🤦
Hmm luckily I don’t fancy the prize anyway because I don’t have the time to grind that out this week.
Odd choice to make it such a grind, however it was something that was proposed a lot past week on this forum… lower the skill factor of the final challenge and make it achievable for more players.
I seem to win most of my matches but still considering I will be playing at least 6 matches a day (much more tbh) I’m unsure why this one is particularly out there.
Compared to last weeks this one at least let’s me play as I like with the weapons I like, rather than camping to rack up more kills. If your bad just roll big team battle where an individuals skill matters less and you will rack em up in no time.
Getting a wasp is hard as heck in this game, only 1 flying vehicle spawns per BTB match, 50/50 it is banshee or wasp, then you have to compete against 11 other teammates to be the first into the wasp, then get 5 kills without being blown out of the sky by weapons fire or disabled out of the sky with shock damage or grapplejacked. You will get it this week since you have 6 days left, but not everyone has that luxury, few people play enough in 1 day to already have 14 weeklies done. The game must be balanced in such a way that the casuals who only play like 8 hours a week have a chance of getting the weekly cosmetic, or else the whole system is pointless, seeing as it is one of only 3 avenues for free players to earn cosmetics in this game.
This is how the ultimate challenge has always worked, it’s quite terrible but it is well documented. You complete all your other challenges and are then given an ‘ultimate challenge’ that is supposed to be harder and take time. Last week it was ‘Get 5 Killing Sprees in Fiesta’.
As annoying as it sounds, Win 17 matches is highly doable, just music on and play some BTB.
Also… WHY CAN’T WE SEE CHALLENGES WHILE IN GAME?
Agreed. It’s almost as if the challenges are processed post game seeing as if you are disconnected any kills aren’t logged in real time towards the challenge.
Some of these challenges are waaay too specific. I agree they are crazy, along with the fact we can only do 4 at a time when we could be doing others on the list. Also i really hate how everytime i use a challenge swap i get a HARDER challenge
There’s a guaranteed Wasp spawn on High Power at the helipads off to the side of the bases. I’ve seen plenty of matches where people don’t grab them as well.
Yes, these challenges suck. But let’s just all be happy this is 343i with a player first mentality. What happened if they had a player last mentality? “Get 117 kills with a rocket launcher you stole from the enemy team in an Oddball match.”
i find the wasp on High power a bit OP something needs to be done to counter it’s effectiveness. on another note we need more incentives to win a match… when your weeekly is done there is no incentive to win.
Since I play 99% BTB, getting 17 wins is a complete stroke of luck, nothing more, because most people are obviously still doing the regular challenges and aren’t playing the objective. Was it hard? Not really, since I’m just playing to play and have fun, I just am passively doing the final challenge, unlike last week which actually took effort. You’ll get it when you get it. You have 6 more days. Best advice is get some friends on mic in 4v4 so you have proper teamwork in your favor.
Yeah i see alot of people not playing objectives, probably because 1 the challenges are kinda stupid 2.there’s no incentive to win without weekly… 3.people seem to focus more on kils
That is one of the worst challenges in the game, next to ending player streaks and destroying enemy wraiths. You have no idea how low your dying teammate’s health is to qualify for a savior medal, so you’re basically camping with a sniper every match waiting to shoot someone across the map about to kill your teammate. I highly recommended using one of your skips since 343 stated they will remove challenges that people tend to skip a lot. Some of those challenges are so obnoxiously time consuming, that they’re not worth doing.
The ravagers so sad. Guy started at range, unloaded like 6 bursts at me. I still had shields after and managed to beat him to death. Didn’t bother wasting ammo, just walked up to him and dealt with it.
