LOL, I actually had a game a few weeks ago where one of the opponents was doing exactly this the entire game.
Turns out, it’s actually a pretty effective strategy on some of the more walled-off maps like Plaza and Rig, even at Onyx rank. He ended up getting top 4 pretty easily.

Same, I’ve only ever heard of it being an issue for Champion ranks (due to restrictive search settings) and non-NA servers (lack of players + very buggy servers in general).

Yep, I’ve only played 4 matches of FFA. I was lucky to find those. As of late, I’ll be sitting in the server menu for 5-10 minutes and it’ll kick me out saying “unable to match.” It sucks. I wanna run around with my own Spartan colors rather than just red or blue.
