So, I HATE Promethean Vision...

Which means I’ve just lost 99% of the playlists.

The same thing happened in Reach with Armor Lock. An ability was introduced that was so egregious, I couldn’t enter playlists where it was allowed. This is the risk 343 runs with bringing back AAs and adding new one’s. Odds are, one will dominate in usage and be awful and wreck the Halo FEEL.

Is there any hope that PV will only be allowed in a couple playlists and be banned from the rest?

I dunno

But what I will say is that we have enough threads dissin’ on P-Vision.

I do agree it is OP to some extent.

Don’t knock it until you try it.

From what I’ve seen Promethean vision looks pretty useless.

I agree completely.

Couldn’t play the DLC in Reach I’ve paid for just because of AL.
I have a feeling it will be the same in H4.

Why can’t some of these crazy AAs just stay in campaign? Why can’t 343 just save the MP from this stuff? Use your heads 343. The risk of having 343 in MP isn’t worth the reward. Its only going to alienate and frustrate at the end of the day.

I really though Armor Lock would be campaign only. Just seemed crazy for MP. And it was.

I bet you will use it…

First off, there are about ten other topics like this one. If you would like to make a complaint, please do it in one of those ten other topics. Secondly, I’d like to say, you have no idea what the “Halo FEEL” is. You are saying that dominant Armor Abilities ruin the “Halo FEEL”, when there really aren’t any Armor Abilities that truly dominate in Halo: Reach nor Halo 4. And please, don’t come back to me saying Armor Lock was bad. Even though Armor Lock is used a lot, players still use Sprint and other Armor Abilities which makes Armor Lock not a truly dominant Armor Ability. As for Promethean Vision, I think it is overpowered to an extent. It will not hurt gameplay that much.

Actually PV doesn’t look that bad to me, i think it will be more like hologram rather than armor lock, in that it really isn’t much of a nuisance. The bright side is it will make it less effective to hide around a corner with a sword/shotgun, which is a positive in my book.

Maybe, we’ll have to see when Halo 4 comes out. However, with what I’ve seen, PV looks like a waste of an AA. The thruster pack or shield would be a better use of a loadout’s AA slot.

There is just no reason to use another AA. WE’re getting a wall hack that’s usable all game long. INsanity it made it this far into development.

No other reason to use another AA? Now I think you’re just trying to justify your point by being ignorant of everything else. Yeah, you can faintly see people for a few seconds. If you think that makes you invincible, I can’t wait to see you drop like a fly a lot.

God forbid we have a device that tells use the exact location of enemy and allied players on the map in relation to the player’s current location. Kinda of like the radar.

PV is way worse than radar. Its not even close guys. C’mon. You can see HUGE distances. You see through walls. You see actual player models. Meaning, which way they are moving and facing and what they may be doing. You also need to look down and to the left for a millisecond to check radar. PV just IS THE SCREEN. You just run and see everyone. You can’t counter PV by crouching. Radar can be countered. Its so far removed from radar that comparing it to radar is insulting to the members of this community. You’re better than that.

At the end of the day PV will be the only one worth using because its just so incredibly useful.

C’mon folks. We know what’s going to happen when this game releases. Stop pretending this game will be played with gentlemen’s rules. Halo4 will be PV all day.

Hahaha, jokes on you I plan on using the Hardlight Shield and so do my friends.

> PV is way worse than radar. Its not even close guys. C’mon. You can see HUGE distances.

Barely. For a few seconds. And not behind you.

> You see through walls.

And see some faint red outlines.

> You see actual player models.

Barely.

> Meaning, which way they are moving and facing and what they may be doing.

And while you are so focused on what the other players miles away are doing, you get assassinated by someone behind you.

> You also need to look down and to the left for a millisecond to check radar.

Unless you’ve been playing Halo for a long time and can see both.

How about you speak for yourself and not everyone in this community?

By your broken logic everyone should’ve used Armor Lock. Oh wait, that didn’t happen. Some people did, others used other abilities.

PV looks just like an Anti-Camper tool, so I never had a problem with Campers in Halo, so I’ll use something else.

P-Vision is nothing more that VISr 2.0.
