So I don't get farmed?

I see countless threads about farming and yes it sounds horrible, if you’re being dominated that much, then as soon as its 10 mins they should push the core and win. But with all of this I’ve only ever been in a close to farming situation once or twice,

Yesterday I joined a match and it was hilarious, it was apex 7 ,half our team had left and I we only had one base. We all ran up to the homebase balcony to find about 6 people with swords with their face pressed up against the shield , killing anyone who tried to escape.
I found this hilarious , I just got an over shield , spammed bases into the room and got a happy triple kill after stealing a sword. The enemy team were party up gamers , a renowned farming company , obviously as soon as they triple capped we were trapped in the base, but it only lasted another five minutes and I still ended up positive. I think this talks wonders about this map and how the escape door works.

Many other times being trapped in homebase I wouldn’t consider farming , if you get destroyed when you leav the base , then don’t leave the base? If they come inside then you should be able to fight them off, if it’s still pure slaughter then leave the game?

So basically o don’t believe farming is that common an issue? Unless of course it’s all on American server s , because it sure doesn’t happen often in EU matches.

I think it might be over exaggerated in some cases i know when i play with my company we hold till 10 then score just so we get the RP.

I agree. I see all this farming grief but it still hasn’t happened to me!

I very rarely play with a big group ( my sc is international with different languages and time zones) so even when we are together we don’t talk ahah. But when a team in one does really well and triple caps in less than 10 mins then I don’t push until then, my friend really pisses me off because he always does, he literally shot the core 30 seconds before the 10 mins mark and it was at least a 300rp difference in the score.

But if I’m ever truly trapped there’s always a way out, speed boost stacking, invisibility or a banshee are great ways to escape .

In all the matches I’ve played we haven’t been farmed when all bases are capped as we usually manage to push them back and whenever we’ve capped all bases I make it my top priority to destroy the core as quickly as possible.

American player here, I’ve never been farmed either. I’m not really sure what to think about farming to be honest.

I’ve played over 400 games and have only been farmed a handful of times. I have a terrible win % too

American player here, and I think you’re lucky as -Yoink- if you haven’t been farmed. It really puts a damper on the whole experience. I’ll be running games with my company, and we’ll have 12 going against a bunch of randoms. So when we steamroll them, we do it all the way, by going after the objective. We’ve ended matches in like 3 or 4 minutes, despite our lack of outright ability. But then we end up against people who are actually good, like PUG, and they steamroll us. But then they just… Sit there. And it’s so frustrating, because we actually finish the objective. And it can be hard to call in a banshee when you aren’t a good individual player against farmers, because you only reach level 2 or 3. I guess you could throw on a speed boost early on and run and hide, but I usually stay and defend for several minutes just in case they are actively trying to push the core. So at that point, I’m stuck at a low energy level against Banshees and Wraiths and Answers and Oni Scorpions. Not much to be done there.

The farming topic is all over, I believe its being worked on but like all things we must give it time. The constant 20 posts daily on this won’t fix it overnight. But I agree its an issue

I’m in PartyUp, and I can tell you that we never farm on Apex 7 due to the escape routes making it difficult to keep people in their home. Even those of us who run lobbies to farm always make an exception for Apex.

Of course most of us, like myself are just into quick-coring for faster RP gains.

My advice, if you’re in a game on Apex 7 and you find yourself and your team pushed back and triple capped, just don’t defend the core and let us end the game. It confuses me so much when we’re trying to destroy the core instead of farm but the enemy team doesn’t want us to end the game and even goes so far to spawn reqs to defend the core.

People complain about farming so much on the forums but like 90% of randoms will try to defend the core and keep the match going.

This is the problem. Good teams going against a bunch of solo players can triple cap within 3-5 minutes. Then you are going to sit there and farm for another 5 minutes just for a few hundred RP?? I’m no Halo 5 expert, and I certainty don’t look into how much RP you get for a few extra minutes, but that extra 5 minutes for a few hundred more RP is probably equivalent to 5 minutes of RP in the NEXT MATCH you would get into if you just finished the game when you have the chance. Again, no expert but I’m guessing you would get more RP for 5 completed matches in 30 minutes than 3 matches in the same amount of time.

Solution, quit, take a ban, and let’s all go outside and farm plants and read stories about the old days  there we go, solved all their problems.

Or quit, get banned, then make a smerf account named after the pokemon that you didn’t even take from Prof. Oak. More of a Bulbasaur fan myself.

Second account and in a company named after farming? Glorious example for the community haha

Same exact situation here.

I think I was in a game once where my team was farming. When we got to their core, none of the enemy Spartans could even get back into the core room. I just ran up and took out the core because I was bored.

But yea, I guess I’m lucky, I ain’t complaining

I would advocate everyone getting a second account. I do not use mine second account with bad intentions. I do not log into the second account so I can team kill and quit matches without the fear of being penalized. I created a second account because I did not feel I should be punished for getting booted because of a network issue. But contrary to our name, we do not farm (probably wouldn’t be good enough anyway). Just thought the name would be humorous.

It happens, but it is thankfully rare. It is in WZ. I have seen others on this thread that say it has never happened to them, but I do not see very many WZ games if any in their history.
