The ranking system does go off of stats as well. It makes a huge difference.
Friends and I made new accounts just have some fun
10 games won them all friend and I got diamond 5 other friend got platinum 5 and he did the worse
placement matches =/= ranked matches

Im not sure, although wins/losses is the most important factor, i believe performance has some impact. Me and my brother play together alot and even though we win and lose the same games we sometimes rank up and down at different rates. This is even when we have ranked up together at one point but then i have ranked up a couple of games before him as i have done better for a couple of games with the same true on his side as well.

I don’t think you’d be able to conclude that performance has impact unless you both played the exact same placement matches and ranked matches, right?
We need to find someone to perform that experiment asap! Now I gotta know!!!

Im not 100% but we both ranked up at exactly the same time after one game but then a few games down the line i ranked when he didnt and later still it happened the other way around so i cant see how that is possible without taking some aspects of performance into account.
