Infection was 2XP for all of October, outside of that I don’t think Halo 5 is going to get another global 2XP event - the game is at “end of life” now.
I’m currently half way through 149, and am hoping to make it to 152 before Infinite releases.
I do agree with the friends that I’ve been doing the grind with when they’ve said that we should really have global double XP on right now.
I think it’s safe to say, that would be helpful for everyone between now and the release date of Halo Infinite. I’m kind of surprised that 343 hasn’t turned it on already.

This do also in other words mean that you are 19 million xp away from the final rank itself which isn’t that bad. I will wish you an enjoyable time collecting the remaining 38% out of the 50 million xp.

They also had the Legendary XP boost giveaways last year. I certainly enjoyed using those.

Finally got it today! It took me pretty much since the pandemic began until now. Good bye Halo 5 (bittersweet, but definitely more sweet than bitter). Cheers to everyone who gave me grinding advice/motivation along the way, and GL to those still on the grind. You guys are absolute legends in my eyes. I am so stoked for Infinite + Halowaypoints future! Happy day!

9 mil left to go. I’m feeling super-burnt out, but I’ve come way too far to give up now. I’m hoping it won’t be too hard to find matches after Infinite launches (whether that’s Nov 15th or Dec 8th) but I’m gonna keep trying. I’ll probably have to coordinate/party up with other people just to find some games, but I don’t think that’ll be too hard - I’m sure there’s several other people who will be trying to finish post-launch.
Honestly, this isn’t even about the coating anymore. I’ve always struggled to finish what I start, and I don’t want this to just be another entry on the list of things I dedicated so much time to but never accomplished.

It’s going but getting from 148 to 149 is torture. Sure wish we’d keep legendary boost packs a regular thing so we don’t have to torture ourselves. I mean their making money off of them so why not 
.

They’re actually available to buy in the Microsoft Store online 24/7. You just can’t see them in game or on your console.

Even if it possible to obtain these packs in exchange for real world money, I would still recommend against spending real world money on these packs.
The only pack I could consider recommending to spend real world money on is the Voices of War pack due to it containing permanent items that cannot be obtained through other means that doesn’t involve spending real world money.
I made it to 152 on November 7, 2021. I started at SR73 somewhere between September and July of last year. The view from the top is great. It wouldn’t have been nearly as easy without my brother Deaths Shadow74.

Starting to see other coatings that look almost identical to the Watchdog ones - if you are only doing the grind for the coatings - don’t bother.

The watchdog is usable on all armor cores tho same with the weapon skins i think. so the watchdog is better since the other ones are only usable on that specific core or if it is a kit with a similar coating.
