I heard that it will have 10 multiplayer maps and 3 different forge maps (total 13). Is that true?

Also, side question, when will the first war games map pack be released (if we know anything about that)?

well over all 22 maps (not right away)
the other 9 maps will be in future dlc, so everyone will be getting 13 maps on release day!
and we already know about 7 maps (not counting the grifball map)

oh by the way i am getting the Limited edition (with 22 maps)(the standard has 13 total) and i am very impressed with halo 4, 343 industries really outdid themselves, This is going to be the best halo yet,
