SWAT is my favourate gametype, and has been since Halo 3.
I kind of understand that rotational hopper thing, but it seems they will be removing it regardless after the end of next week.
When will it return permanently?

That playlist is always booming with ppl, combine ctf and oddball and keep swat -Yoink!- it!
It’s a rotational playlist. If people like it, they’ll add it as a permanent PL. So there is chance it’ll be added.
I think this rotational stuff is pretty limited, just add the playlist. People ALWAYS were playing it in Reach. Also, Team Doubles better not be in this ‘rotational’ thing and is added permanently.
it’ll probably be added… it has the population of almost all non slayer gametypes combined. Actually, I like capture the flag and dominion far more than swat, but it’s the little things that get the most attention sometimes.

That’s what I’m asking. I’m guessing it will be made permanent, but the fact that they’ve said they’ll remove it on the 26th means that it isn’t permanent yet, despite being much more popular than a lot of the current playlists.
I hope grifball, SWAT, and Race never become perm playlists.
MLG needs a permanent slot.
Race should be permed. I want to play it for once, it looks so fun. And if it stays it’ll be ranked, and then there’l be racing competitions and stuff…

I respect your opinion, but I disagree. SWAT should definitely become a permanent playlist. It’s one of the most played game types and has been since Halo 3 days.
Really SWAT is a gimmick gametype that got out of control however i have to admit it is kind of competitive. Look at how teams competed for 50’s in H3.
I do like this rotation playlist deal, sounds fun. If doubles is included i will be smashing that out.
Swat should be a permanent playlist. It has been one since Halo 2, 343 shouldn’t just rotate gametypes. They should just keep adding them.
For the record - 343 never said they were removing SWAT. They just said that since it was such a popular playlist it was going to stay around for an extra week. If the numbers stay high for SWAT for the continuing weeks it will probably stick around.
SWAT needs to be Permanent! It’s such a classic Playlist, I’ve been playing SWAT since it was Ranked in Halo 2.

Its a “rotational hopper” which means it will be replaced

Race never needs to be permanent. Neither do monobattle gametypes (Team Snipers, Team shotties, ect)
However Grifball, SWAT and MLG all need permanent slots since they get played like crazy.
I haven’t played it yet.
